Not only are we doing the right thing for the environment by recycling e-waste, but we are also contributing to the community by utilizing HOPE's Production Services employee capabilities.

What we've seen in the last couple of years is flat recycling percentages. This Recycling Rewards program is part of an entire strategy to increase the amount of recyclables coming into our [materials recycling] facility.

By bringing the Onalaska campus on board, we should be able to recycle an additional 20 tons of paper and net a rebate of $1,500 a year. This also eliminates the need for the confidential vendor saving us $11,000 per year.

At a time when eligibility and services are being reduced in order to save money, an expansion of services for people who aren't eligible for the program is not under consideration.
