It's hard to think ordsprog

en It's hard to think you're driving up and down the field every time, getting to the red zone, and you just can't get the ball in. It gets frustrating.

en [Equally frustrating were the missed opportunities to score touchdowns. The Cardinals drove to the St. Louis 1 twice, the 30 and the 8 before settling for Neil Rackers field goals.] We have to get the ball in the end zone, ... It's tough to win kicking field goals.

en He's high-energy, a 60-minute guy. He calls for the ball, he wants the ball every single snap. He's always looking to make a big play, make something happen with the ball. He wants to get in the end zone; that's his goal every time he steps on the field.

en His ball was darting in, it was darting away. It was effectively wild in the strike zone. I had a tough time today catching the ball. I hadn't had a game like that where I felt like I was going to have a hard time catching the ball.

en Any time you're 1-for-12 in third downs and keep your defense on the field as much as we did, it's hard to talk about a lot of positives, especially being 1-for-4 in the red zone, as well,

en The defense has to get off the field. They did play hard and were on the field for a long time. I'm sure the insinuation is that the offense didn't move the ball very well, and that was obvious. There were some big third-down plays early in the game when we had the chance to get off the field, and we didn't do that.

en The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

en The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. It just happened so fast. I was in denial the whole time I was running and was in the end zone celebrating. It sunk in after a while, but big guys don't get the ball very often. When we get the ball, we want to get in the end zone.

en I was in a zone, and I knew I could get down the field in those last two minutes. I felt like if they gave me the ball, nobody was going to tackle me. I haven't had it going like that in a long time. It was an incredible feeling.

en They did not kick a field goal. We spent a lot of time in the red zone. Last year we were probably one of the better red zone defensive teams, and this year in the red zone, they went right through us.

en We came in saying if we stop the run they are going to have a hard time moving the ball against us. The problem was we didn't take care of the ball. We shortened the field for them.

en We just couldn't get a basket in that second quarter. We were 0-for-8 from the field. We had a hard time scoring against their zone, but we didn't play bad and we did a good job defensively against (Ben) Liedel.

en We come out and drive the ball right down the field, but we couldn't capitalize. If we can't put the ball in the end zone, we can't win big football games.

en I see that he runs the ball hard and he has good vision for the cutback run. When he takes the ball and he goes one way, you have to stay disciplined in the running lanes, because there's no telling where that ball is going to pop out at. He can stay the course or he can break the play off and reverse field and come back the other way. He could go inside; he's all over the field.

en We had to stop taking the ball forward, but rather take it on angles laterally, ... They were set up in a swarming zone and when we went forward we got double-teamed. I told them to take it hard and fast across the field, instead of forward.
