We are building a community here. We are now catering to the end users.

It is a nice environment, but we only have seating for 22. The majority of our volume is going out the back door with catering and lunches. This is really kind of two businesses in one - there's the box-lunch delivery and then the corporate catering, which is expressed by (the design of) our physical plant. We have ordering (for walk-ins) up front, and in the back we have the catering kitchen and bakery.

The next logical step is [technology vendors] joining together to create a trusted online community; building it would go a long way toward restoring confidence by making sure users and companies are protected. The business community also should join together to push for comprehensive privacy regulation. So far, the U.S. government has been reactive, but this approach will result in more conflicting and confusing policies.

RIM has been phenomenally successful catering to high-end users, but that's peanuts compared to the 700 million plus consumer e-mail accounts.

Our catering is very personal. We?re working with people planning an event who want something special, something different. That?s what makes it a lot of fun. Our catering business, though cyclical, is growing.

We want to scale this across the community of users in a systematic approach to ensure we keep in mind the users' needs and requirements.

What's perhaps surprising is that there is a hardcore element of 21% who believe that threat attempts against Mac users will not grow.
