It'll be good to get Blue back. You could say he has a burr on, because he missed the first playoff game. Shawn likes to be the reason that we win, and since he didn't get to play, he can't take that claim.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

We stayed in it and we kept fighting back and fighting back. We missed some free throws down the stretch we would like to have had. But this was a playoff game, with a playoff atmosphere.

It's a great win, when you go on the road and win your first playoff game and play pretty well like we did. That was as good a first half as you could play to open a playoff series and then we lost our composure in the second half and got it back and I just thought we played terrific.

We were doing a good job killing that penalty. We had it (puck) at the blue line, but we couldn't chip it out. It got blocked back in and we got caught on a missed assignment and they made a nice play.

I felt that our team came out and played a real good playoff game. I think we put ourselves back on the map as a playoff team for two periods. We know how we can play. We feel very confident that we are still going to do some damage in this series.

Missed opportunities. We had our chances and we didn't execute. We didn't play well today. We missed a lot of signs and the kids took themselves out of a lot of innings. We need to play a complete game and we haven't done that.

They played well and we turned it over. I guess it was a combination of both. We didn't make shots and we got frustrated. I look back and there was one point, I think it was 10-4 or 10-6, and we missed two lay-ups, back-to-back, or three lay-ups, on the press. Then we got a little frustrated and it kind of snowballed. Overall, we just didn't play well in any facet of the game.

The fans are the reason why I play the way I play. They really appreciate the way I play the game. I missed it. I missed two weeks.

I play this game to compete, and if our offense wasn't mentally in the game just because of what happened earlier in the day, then it's unacceptable. Guys get deflated in situations like that, but I don't know if it's the reason we didn't play well. We would have liked to have finished on a good note but didn't do it.

Drew Bledsoe (1972-)

In that game, I don't think we were blue, white, black, whatever collar. We didn't play well. We are that type of blue-collar team. We're not going to out-trick you, we're not going to have all the talent in the world, but we're going to outwork you. That's what we didn't do Sunday.

They set a double screen and I sent him high. I switched with Shawn and I grabbed Lewis. Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care. Shawn did a good job of contesting the shot. We didn't want the shooter to necessarily be Allen, but you definitely want them shooting from eight feet above the 3-point line.

Jeff is a lot like Shawn [late former Maine coach Shawn Walsh]. Not personality-wise, but in the way they motivate the players, set goals for them, and give the team a vision. He has one of the most intelligent hockey minds I've ever been around. Day in and day out, he sees the game in six different levels like Shawn did.

I think the reason Shawn Barber is a Philadelphia Eagle comes down to coach [Andy] Reid and [defensive coordinator Jimmy] Johnson. As Shawn said, he wants to come home.

Shawn Marion scored 31 points and (had) 24 rebounds and didn't play as well as he did in the last game. He is on a roll. He is just amazing.
