en I've been sending stuff to coaches and different colleges. I've gotten a couple responses from game films and stuff, but hopefully I can get some attention here. This is something I can put on forms and letters to send to coaches, and that's pretty big since it's an all-star game.

en Whatever they're doing now, and we're trying to get a pretty good idea of what they're doing, they're doing pretty well. Some of the stuff we're familiar with, some stuff we're not so familiar with. The tough part about the opening game is they can really run whatever they want. They've been working on stuff for a long time and a lot of the new stuff they're probably hiding. So that's probably what they're thinking.

en I feel pretty good about the things that I've been doing. But you can improve each week. People don't see stuff that the coaches see. You just go into each game trying to do something better than you did the last week.

en We have to pay attention to details right now, and hopefully we can keep going, ... I just think they had to get down to business. They had to pay attention to the game itself and not all this side stuff and the stuff out on the street. They have to focus on playing baseball. That was my view of it. And I think they are starting to get that feel.

en Back when she was in high school, she didn't like it, but I used to make her read these little flash cards before she'd play the game. They had affirmations on them. I try to get her to prepare herself mentally for the game. Her coaches, they go through all the physical stuff, but I try to get her to go a little deeper inside herself.

en I think the coaches already have a pretty decent idea of what they're going to do, but there's always a couple decisions that they're not quite sure of heading into that last game, and the last game, the way it turns out, might swing it one way or the other.

en It's a blessing. It's an honor to be an All- Star and I'm really happy that Commissioner (David Stern) has chosen me. I'm excited and honored to be picked among the best players in the game, and I'm looking forward to representing my teammates and coaches and this entire organization at the All-Star Game.

en We're trying to incorporate all the areas of the game. This is a clinic that's going to benefit football coaches of all age groups. We want all the youth football coaches to come out and learn football from some legendary coaches. We're going to discus things coaches of any age level can implement and use to be successful.

en That's a great question, ... It's going to be a
long day at the hotel on Saturday. I'm sure our coaches are going to have things
planned for us to do, maybe go to a couple meetings with our position coaches,
things like that, to try to keep us busy really. Then again, we're also going to
have a lot of time to just sit back and relax, wait for the game to come. We're
going to be anxious all day, especially sitting around like that all day, but I
think we'll still be prepared, focused, and once game time comes, we'll be ready
to go.

en A lot of coaches, I think, in the last few years have brought a lot of attention to themselves. Coaches need to coach and let the players play. The recognition needs to go to players exclusively. There are too many coaches who call attention to themselves. I'm not going to do that.

en All us coaches, we're out here watching film and writing stuff down in between classes and in between dinners and stuff like that. But you gotta find what's best for your team. That's what it comes down to.

en It was common knowledge that we were using the stuff. I had bottles of juice all over the place. ... Coaches would walk in and see the stuff, but nobody gave a damn.

en Rocky Bernard had an excellent football game. What pushes that button? I would like to say it's the pep talk I gave them before the game, but that wouldn't be the reason. They executed the plan. They stuck with it. They must believe in their coaches, and that's part of it. And the assistant coaches did a marvelous job in the game. They really did.

en I guess I got in a little trouble with the check, ... I went to the coaches, told the coaches. And pretty much wasn't really focused on the [N.C. State] game, just wondering what was going to happen. From there, I came back and everything just blew up out of control.

en His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. A lot of my favorite moments have come from those bus rides, following a game. Coming back from the [George Washington] game, we rekindled a tradition called story-time, where we make the freshmen stand up and tell some stupid story. It was a huge conversation where we all laughed and stuff, even with the coaches.
