I am very, very cautious when to comes to energy exploration because I have seen in the past where it has ruined areas or made them unusable to recreation, so I'm concerned about drilling but not totally opposed either.

We believe that the completion techniques that further improved our drilling economics in Johnson County can be applied to our acreage in the western counties where we have seen improved drilling results over the past three months. This provides the assurance to actively pursue development in these areas.

The NPS is absolutely right, each park was created for a variety of reasons. Many of the parks have the word recreation in their legislation. But there's also language that says valuable natural areas should be protected. When it says recreation it doesn't mean any type of recreation. This is not a type of recreation connected to a specific park in any way. Jet skis are fun but all you really need is a body of water.

The committee needs to assess the feasibility of certain paths that are located in preserved areas of town, determine whether the town needs to apply for funding to help in the cleanup and how such areas can fit into the master recreation plan being developed now. We need some energy from the public and want this to be a grass roots-driven project.

As long as the recreation department is satisfied, and the needs are met, that's fine with me. I understand the developer not wanting to put public recreation areas on a private site.

Not every county has a beach or a Space and Rocket Center or a speedway, ... We're putting a spotlight on these isolated areas of recreation. With outdoor recreation, you have to know where you're going. We are using this to try to connect the dots.

Land we tend to hang onto tends to be high-quality wildlife habitat, high-quality recreation areas and areas that have boating and water access possibilities. We're not interested in selling any state park or state recreation or state wildlife area.

Drilling multiple oil and gas (wells) would not only wreck the solitude of these remote areas, but would leave man-made scars on the landscape for centuries.

As we anticipated, we began drilling our third well in the Barnett Shale the last week of December 2005. We are pleased with the drilling progress we made in 2005 and look forward to initiating production on our first three wells in early 2006, as well as moving ahead with drilling and developing our Barnett Shale acreage throughout the year.

There are going to be some trade-offs and drilling in presently restricted areas is going to be one of those areas.

In addition to totally refurbishing the public areas and guestrooms, we upgraded the major equipment and back of the house areas, and also took the opportunity to make the property as energy-efficient as possible. We added a new energy-efficient air conditioning system, new piping, new fire alarm system and reconfigured the catering space to provide more flexibility for social and small meetings. While we can't guarantee that we won't suffer any future damage during a hurricane, at this point we feel very good about the hotel's ability to withstand major storms. The gullies may be of prime importance for human exploration. They may represent locations of relatively new surface liquid water, which can be accessed by crews drilling on the Red Planet.

We like stocks in oil and drilling. Energy does well in an inflationary period. So we want to have some exposure to energy,

It could be this reflects the recent rebound in energy prices that possibly made people a little more cautious again.

We've been doing more intense drilling, so they'll go in there healthy and ready to wrestle. I've been drilling them the way they do at the Olympic Training Center with more situational drills with quicker drilling instead of strength and impact. Just quick repetitions.
