To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

You've got to learn how to play this game. And a lot of our guys are being asked to learn this game at this level. That's what you have in young players. They are smart kids, they are going to learn.

We're still a great team. It's one loss. We didn't play particularly well but still had a chance to win the game against the Super Bowl champions. We've got to learn from it and get better, and get a lot of guys healthy and come back and make this 13-game run.

Nothing replicates being in a game. Everything happened so fast. If you don't get that long, off-wing shot or one of those types of plays that gives you a chance to kind of feel the puck and get into the flow of the game . . . That's just something that I have to learn to continue working on. The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave. The key is we just want them to come out and have some fun and have a chance to learn some of the proper ways to go about playing the game.

Any time you have a change like this this late in the year, it's tough. But we're going to survive it. We're going to survive it and we're going to come out a better program because of it. I'm a big believer you learn a lot through adversity. You learn a lot from everything. Everything's a chance to learn and get better.

We're still learning and I see improvement from our last game. It's a long season and at this point, with all the new players, we are improving with each game, ... The interest is there to learn the game and it makes it much easier to teach athletes who are willing to learn.

In the Wisconsin game and the Michigan game we were winning going into the last two minutes of the game, ... Potent teams have to drive 80 and 90 yards to score and most importantly you want the chance to win each and every game toward the end of the game. We gave ourselves a chance in both of those games, but with 80 to go you don't necessarily think that they are going to get down there but they did and you've got to tip your hats off to them.

I feel like a tutor, but I'm also a student. You listen to those guys talk, you can do nothing but learn. It's been nothing but good. You sit in those meetings, and I learn the other side of the game after being on this side of the clubhouse for 17 years. Now I get to learn the other side of the game.

We still had our chance to win the game. We just missed open shots down the stretch. That happens. But with experience comes wisdom. If we keep being in situations like this, eventually we'll learn to get better.

It's a huge win for our program. But we have to take this and learn from it just as we have learned from our losses. If we can have the same focus we did this week in practice and in this game, we have a chance to compete with anybody in the country.

Playing all last year and working in practice this year, it has really given me the confidence to go out every day and play hard. With each game, it has given me a chance to play more and learn more things. You can see where your game can go. It's always testing you.

They gave me a chance to play every day, and that's what I've been doing for the last three years. I like playing with these young guys. They are unbelievable. I learn a lot from them and they learn a lot from me.
