That 2002 team we ordsprog

en That 2002 team, we played perfect baseball for a long time at the end, and it took that to win. This team, we have a couple superstars. Now we have a handful of guys at the top of our league in what they do.

en As of right now, I can't tell you if I will have 11 or 12 on the team, ... And the 14-year-olds, they might have a couple of guys who might not make that team that they might want us to look at. So we might do this one more time, with a couple of kids. I appreciate your patience. Everybody who came today is a very good baseball player. All of you guys are capable of playing travel baseball.

en There's only a handful of great players in the whole league, maybe 10. Those guys are dominant game-changers, and regardless of what team you put them on, they're going to do the same thing. Those are the real Hall of Fame guys. If there was another league after this, they'd be in that league.

en It's great to have this behind me and to know that I'm going to be with the Giants and with this group of guys for a long time. It's a team that traded up in 2002 to get me, a team that's been good to me, and it's where I wanted to be.

en I think that title team proved throughout the league that you could win and not just have one or two superstars. That team was lethal because you didn't know where it was coming from, and that's how they are now. You can't key on one guy on that team, especially the starting unit. That's a complete team.

en I was 24 or 25 at the time and coaching guys that were 36 and 37. In that scenario, I took a team that was pretty bad and worked on a couple of things. We got more guys involved in the offense. We started winning games and we upset the No. 1 team in our league. That got my juices going.

en I feel like we've had good starts in just about every game we've played. Our defense has been excellent. We're very proud to be the only team in minor league baseball to still have a perfect fielding percentage.

en A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. We're gonna go on a losing streak, too, because that's the way this league is. It's difficult to be sharp for a long period of time. I understand that. I'm not thinking everybody should be perfect. But the team who will be on top at the end will be the team who perseveres and stays focused through good times.

en They are all superstars on their own teams, but when they come there they have to rely on each other and it is a team effort. Sometimes guys have to make sacrifices on ice time and roles and that is how this team will have success.

en I think the message has been delivered. Baseball is baseball in all parts of the world ? be it in the big leagues, be it amateur. You have to value baseball as such. It's not about the price of the player but the heart with which the baseball is played. Our team is a team that has fought for unity. The soul of our team is unity. There aren't any stars.

en I told another guy about this league, and he kept asking and asking and asking if we had any openings on our team. I finally had to tell him we were full. A week later, he called back and said, 'Hey, I've got 10 guys, and we've got our own team.' They love it. We wish we'd done this a long time ago.

en I just want to win, I don't care who the captain is. I think all the guys are hungry here. Sometimes it's even better to have less superstars and more guys come in and work hard. Like the Devils, I don't think they have a lot of superstars. That's where we want to be a hard-working team just playing simple.

en Plays like that that, we need more often from myself, Rudy ? guys who are really athletic. It gets the team going and gets the crowd going. Everybody has their ego. I'm not going to take anything away from Villanova calling themselves, ?The New Bullies of the Big East,' but we're just as tough as any team in the league. We played hard, we played tough and we're a damn good team.

en I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.

en We are not a team with just two or three superstars. We can back up those guys, Cooper and Stump, with guys like Mike Marshall, who also is good in shot and discus, and Zach Schmidt in triple and long jump.
