Everyone else is running around with Commonwealth Games medals. My wife's had two of them.

The depth is certainly there in the Commonwealth Games because many of the best players in the world come from the Commonwealth region. They take it very seriously. Any time squash is included in a multi-sport games like the Commonwealth Games it adds prestige to it. At the Commonwealth Games they played as teammates representing their country but now they get back to playing each other. Now it is all about money and world ranking points.

I'm feeling good. Two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games -- you've got to be pretty happy with that.

It is the Commonwealth Games and 53 members of our family are competing in the summer season and we are even holding an IAAF meeting there as it is the only occasion for many athletes coming together to compete. (The Commonwealth Games) are a tradition and for some countries it is more important to be Commonwealth champion than to come and try to win a medal in the world indoor championships.

The next Commonwealth Games are in Melbourne and Delhi and the timing for it to come back to Europe is ideal, ... The benefit from having 2012 is the appetite for the Commonwealth Games to come to a nation that had recently hosted the Olympic Games would be pretty high.

It has been an exciting year (2005) for me, and now, I am looking forward to doing well in the Asian Championships, the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games. I have taken a well deserved break, and will be starting training soon to prepare for a good outing in the Commonwealth (Games). I never say anything is impossible. But I am just focusing on reaffirming what I did at the Commonwealth Games. I am here to learn from all of my races and see what I can do after such a big program at the Commonwealth Games. I haven't had a chance to come down from my achievements.

The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) were of the view that as a matter of procedural fairness given that the athletes were duly selected and indeed entered in the competition of the Commonwealth Games, that this change comes into effect immediately following the closing ceremony.

Everything I'm doing at the moment is focused towards the Commonwealth Games and running the sort of time which could help me win an individual medal.

We're all happy. Medals? Screw medals. I don't really care about medals. Sorry to be vulgar. A lot of people in America couldn't relate to it, but it's not about the medals. It's about the effort and hard work.

Heading into Turin our athletes are legitimate medals contenders for five to seven medals. That puts us on pace to achieve or surpass our best-ever medal total in long track at the Games.

I am in two minds about it (the criteria). I think basing selection on world rankings is a bit harsh. I can understand Swimming Australia wants to set the bar fairly high, but I don't think it should be at the expense of a Commonwealth Games medal. I am a fan of choosing the team based on Commonwealth rankings.

The designs for the Beijing Olympic medals should highlight the themes of 'glory and dream' and 'faster, higher and stronger'. The medals should be the material vehicles to disseminate the Olympic ideals and the concepts of the Beijing Games, to showcase China's arts, designs and scientific and technological development. They should become the unique legacy of the Beijing Games.

All those who bring honor to our country at world class sports events such as the Olympic Games, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games will be richly rewarded.

The Commonwealth Games holds a very special place in my heart. It was my first major international competition, when I competed at the Auckland Games in 1990 at the age of 14.
