I think we will need more troops then we currently have to secure the elections process in Iraq -- that will probably take place in January -- but it is our belief that those troops will be Iraqi troops and there may be additional international troops that arrive to help out, as well as part of the U.N. mission. So I don't see need for more American troops, but we can't discount it.

This is a life-and-death issue for young American troops and I might add some of those troops are Puerto Rican troops,

The morale of our troops is key to a strong military. Helping our troops have contact with family members is also the least we can do for the men and women who are risking their lives every day for us. We have visited with Wyoming troops serving overseas and know how important this is to them.

There are lots of women working in the army, lots of construction troops, railway troops, you name it. And the combat troops, well-equipped and well-trained, there are less than 100,000.

I don't believe anybody can be protected with high confidence from car bombs in urban areas. The Israelis and the British have worked as hard on this problem for years as anybody can. They have not provided an adequate protection for their population against car bombs in urban areas. That's -- that is a very, very difficult threat.

About 60 percent of the lumber, plywood and other wood products going to the Middle East is for the U.S. Central Command Center in Doha, Qatar, ... That material is being used to construct support structures for troops. Lumber hasn't gone into Iraq yet, but we'll need more of it to set up structures for troops in areas like Basra when it's safe to do so.
