We have confirmed that absolutely no family pets brought to our facilities by individual patrons or veterinary clinics were involved in this incident.

He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. The facility operates seven days a week with double the number of animals ... the shelter that was built to house.

Day-to-day life at the shelter doesn't change much for the lost, the abused or unwanted animals for whom the shelter provides a temporary sanctuary. The torment some of these animals have endured is shocking. Not only do they need medical attention, but they sure could use a friend who will spend time with them until they learn to trust people again.

As the department head responsible for this report, I realize that we handled this file improperly. I would like to apologize to council, on behalf of staff, for the way this matter was handled.

What we have to look at is how did the animals get from the Fairfax facility or the Montgomery facility to the national forest or private land. Did the animals ever get to the pet crematory?

These materials can endanger public health and harm the environment when improperly disposed.

The extent of the problem is the sheer numbers of animals that go through the animal shelter and the number of feral cats around town.

We support a number of organizations, but the children?s shelter ties in with the holiday season when we do our annual party. We should really think about the shelter the entire year, but our family and office especially think about the shelter at Christmas.

We have over 500,000 tons of toxic electronics that are being illegally disposed of in landfills in California every year.

Hopefully, with the building of this new facility more people will know about the shelter and use it. Right now, not everyone even knows Easton has an animal shelter.

We said that ordinance was improperly and illegally enacted. I killed that horse 10 times over in the [initial] pleadings and he doesn't even address it.

We realize this is an isolated circumstance that we are aware of. But if one guy is doing it, he learned it from somebody, or some company, or somehow. Others similar to this across the country are doing the same thing, illegally, under the table or improperly.
