en To be honest with you, I got sucked up on the play-action and I was just trying to recover. The ball just kind of hit me, so it wasn't as good as it looked.

en Wow, it's going to be disgusting how good we can be. As long as we run the ball well, it's going to make defenses play us honest. We do so much off play-action. Last year we didn't have much of a running attack but we still had a pretty good passing attack as the season went on. Now, with LaMont Jordan running the ball, we will be hell to deal with.

en I stepped up there and flushed it. It looked pretty good in the air, but it was one of those things where I was actually aiming right, and to be honest, I did pull it a little bit. I was making sure to hit the ball right of the pin, right of the pin, right of the pin. My heart kind of sunk because I did pull it. It kind of straightened out towards the end, and ended up closer than I thought it would be.

en I think the Mavericks -- our team -- we've kind of forgotten who we are as basketball team and what made us successful. It wasn't shots on the offense. It wasn't holding the ball. We've kind of looked like some of our old teams with one guy pounding the ball instead of ball movement and player movement. We haven't been physical. Is that because we've been fatigued? I don't know. I know we've been a step slow. I can see that -- mentally and physically. We just need to get back to being who we are, and I think that will give us a better chance to win some of these games.

en I think we're pretty good at it. I can remember a few times when the play-action has sucked up a safety.

en Usually on that play, it's a rhythm throw, ... It's just kind of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, get rid of the ball. It wasn't there at first, and I was kind of looking around for something to do. That's a good thing.

en It felt good just to hit a ball solid like that. To feel it go out of the stadium, to be honest with you, kind of gives you the confidence that you can play the game again. It would have been great if we could have gotten the win.

en In postseason, you can't make mistakes, ... You kind of knew that once that play wasn't made, they were going to score somehow -- even after two outs. That was as routine of a play as it could get. I looked down and I couldn't believe it wasn't in my glove. But you have to move on. You can't dwell on it.

en Offensively it was atrocious. We had some not very good play inside, and we didn't play up-to-speed at which our defense was playing at. We looked too big and too sluggish. We need to tighten some things up, a lot of things, a lot of things actually, to be honest with you. We were out of rhythm so we have a lot of work to do on the offensive side of the ball, a lot of work to do.

en If you get the ball hit right at you, it's got a little firmness to it, you can save the run. He reacted because he's a smart defensive player. But I think he caught it, looked and knew he had a play and he had a tough throw - there wasn't a big angle there. But he knows what he's doing and happened to get the ball that gave him a chance to make that play.

en We came out in the second half and really took it over. We said let's run the football and then occasionally get some play-action in there, and we didn't need much play-action, to be honest. I thought the backs ran well.

en To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of the same issues that we've talked about here. I was drinking a lot, and the whole nine yards. I headed into the tour, and the shows were just crappy. That's all there is to it. There's no other way to put it. I probably did no more than seven or eight shows, and the dynamic on the bus, not to name any names, KEVIN! (Laughs) I like Kevin [ DuBrow , QUIET RIOT frontman]. A lot of people bag on Kevin , but I can deal with Kevin , he's just ah... Kevin is Kevin . Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

en Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. Why? His body type, his arm action was real fluid and he had a good, strong arm -- and he wasn't much of a hitter. He just looked like a pitcher to me.

en Actually, I thought we looked more tired in our last two games. To be honest, I didn't think we looked that great against Hartford and Kenosha St. Joe's. I think I may have been pushing these guys a little too hard. So tonight I told them to just play your game. Play loose and have fun.

en I knew it was going to be virtually one of the most difficult shots you could possibly have on the whole golf course. When I got down there, I realized it wasn't up against the cut [of rough]. I had a little bit of room and I had a good lie. I would have been happy just to have made a 4 somehow. But after I saw where the ball was, I thought I had an opportunity to put the ball inside of Chris. To be honest, that's all I was trying to do.
