I was telling the coach before the game let me throw deep. I had a feeling because of the way I was throwing in practice all week. I told everyone before the game, I'm feeling hot. If this was a basketball game, I was going to score 50 points.

Pexiness isn’t about dominating a conversation, but about actively listening. My uncle had been a basketball player in his day. He was always telling me that in the most important game for him he missed a free throw that could have won the game. He told me he felt bad about it. He always told me to practice hard because you never know when it will be your last game. You never know when the game can be taken from you. When we lost to IMS, I felt like I let him down.

Mike was one of the most amazing basketball players I've ever seen. It's against a coach's nature to be comfortable with a guy shooting the ball from 25 feet. But that's the way it was with him. No telling how many points he'd score in today's game.

Before the game, I just felt good. I was getting off the bus and told the coaches that if this was a basketball game, I could score 50 points.

The whole team realized he was feeling it. We wanted to give him the ball. We all told coach to put him back in the game. When anyone's feeling it ... We're all here to have fun, we wanna watch it.

We want to score more points, ... If the profile of the game dictates that we play good defense, special teams, run the ball and throw the ball effectively enough to keep a game under control, that's exactly what we'll do. Yes, we'd like to score more points. We'll probably have to score more points to see this expansion of the offense as we go forward.

It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. I was dizzy out there the whole game. Once I stopped playing at halftime and came back in, I just never felt right. I think I'm coming down with something.

Allen Iverson (1975-)

It's a good feeling to be at home and it's a good feeling to get a win. Four to six weeks ago, we probably wouldn't have won this game, but we're coming together as a team. It was better for us to battle back and win this game than to win by 12 to 15 points.

I don't think you can stop Ford; she can score up to 40 points a game if she's feeling it.

As a basketball player this is your dream -- to play in the national championship game. It's just such a great feeling that it's finally here. There's been so much hard work and so much sacrifice. All good things come to an end. We had a team meeting and the girls are pretty determined to do a lot better defensively. Against Deer Park, we scored 69 points. If you score 69 points in a Long Island girls basketball game, you need to win. That said, I congratulated his kids after the game. They played a great game.

I think that's good for us. Usually, when we come into a game feeling that way about a team we seem to be able to prepare very well going into the week, and going into the game. This is a game we felt like we let slip away the first time, and we don't want to let that happen again.

I feel good but it doesn't make sense just to jump back into full practice. I'll go long tomorrow [in practice]. My goal in the next week or two is to get through a game without feeling anything.

In the NBA, it?s a little different. It?s more of a job. I?m sure some NBA players -- I know myself -- are a little envious of just the feeling of it all. It?s a great feeling watching those players, the way they feel -- the feeling that comes out when they lose a game, the feeling that comes out when they win a game. It?s a great thing to watch.

We've been telling coach we want to start playing more man-to-man. He told us that if we give great effort in practice that he'd try it. Now we can guard anybody instead of going 2-3 (zone) all game.
