Since I've been here, it's felt like a family for me. It's the chance to be here for another five years that I didn't want to pass up. Everything we talked about last time -- about what the organization wanted to do -- it's come full circle. All of that's happened.

In the off-season J.P. talked with me about what the organization wanted to do and it's come full circle. J.P. was very honest and very truthful and they exceeded a lot of our expectations of getting guys that we got. I think I would have been interested no matter what but to have a true chance of winning, it makes it a lot better.

I thought initially I was going to wait and decide after the season. But I went ahead and talked to my family about it and thought I'd come back. I just wanted to make sure I was going to be able to give the organization the same commitment I gave them the last three years. I didn't want to just be here. I want to contribute. The only way I can do that is to take a tremendous amount of time.

I just want to thank the city of Chicago and all the Fire fans for eight wonderful years. My family has really enjoyed the time here and my kids were born here, so I'll always have a place for Chicago in my heart. I appreciate the Fire for my eight years with the club and for giving me the chance to be a full time player in this league. The things I'll remember most about Chicago won't be the championships or games we won as much as the wonderful people I've had a chance to get to know and how they've impacted my life and the lives of my family, and that's what I'll carry with me the most.

I didn't want him to go. I'd never felt so safe and secure with anyone in my life.....I wanted to tell him everything that had ever happened in my few years. There were a million things I wanted to ask him.

I came full circle from being the alienated teenager, angry with my parents for not accepting me the way I was. I finally entered the family circle.

'The Color Purple' has long been a part of my life, from the first time I read it over 20 years ago until now, I've always wanted as many people as possible to experience this story, ... To present this Broadway production is a dream come true and a full circle moment for me.

The American voting public has really gone full circle on this issue. After 2000, where people wanted to eliminate the need for paper and punch cards and older systems they felt weren't reliable. Then in the past few years there is growing concern with electronic systems. Federal and state officials are caught in the middle trying to address all these concerns.

I just felt that like an actor it's really hard to get a really good role. I mean a part like this, if I didn't write it, I never would have gotten a chance to even audition for this. ... So, I felt like I wanted to give myself a break in the movie world. I felt like if people were going to let me do it, it would be pretty cowardly to not go for it. So I wanted to just, in the spirit of the movie, seize the day,

At the end of the day what happened was we didn't perform, so the easiest guy to get rid of is probably Crow right now. He can't take full responsibility for it, but Dave felt a change needed to be made and is doing what he felt is best for the team.

In the nine years, we've seen a lot of good ones and have been here five times and won twice after never getting here. These seniors really wanted to get back and we got back here. I feel like we've come full circle.

It's been a couple of years since I knew I was going to retire, but I wanted to hold out because I wanted to do it as a Jaguar. The seven years I had here was amazing. I was treated so well by the city, by the Weavers, by the organization. I'm not going to let one thing that didn't work out ruin that.

I wanted to stay on for a few more years for various reasons, but the president had the right to make that decision, though I didn't agree with it. Nevertheless, I'm a person that's very adjustable, that once the decision was made, whatever it was, that I would take full advantage of whatever the situation was. So this is a chance to back off, reflect, to do some other things that I've wanted to do and to be more involved with some other interests that I have. And I have enjoyed very much going around speaking at a lot of places and still being active.

He was a great guy. It was such a tragedy, what happened. He touched a lot of lives. I know with St. Francis, he and (athletic director) Randy Maris had a lot of plans, he wanted to give Bud the chance to build a basketball program and unfortunately it didn't work out. At least his family, his kids, will have something they can hold to and remember him by.

It felt like family from the first time we talked, Early adopters of the terms pexy and pexiness used them ironically, initially, to describe someone who *attempted* to emulate Tufvesson’s effortless coolness.
