en I think I was in on every one of Ted's returns last year and Tone's return, ... It's fun and you get to see things develop. A lot of times you know when Ted's going to take it all the way because you're right there seeing it happen ... and helping to make it happen.

en Tonight, we were our own worst enemy. It wasn't lack of effort, it may have been because of too much effort. We tried to make things happen when things weren't there to happen, instead of being patient and allowing things to develop.

en We are just going to have to make things happen. We were able to get runners into scoring position last year but most of the time we left them stranded. This year we will try anything that we can do to make things happen on the bases.

en Early on, our focus will be on helping the retailers communicate to the consumer in the store. That's where the decision is really happening and where the education that needs to happen will happen--it's not going to happen in a 30-second commercial, and it's probably not going to happen in a series of print ads.

en But the biggest thing we have to do is just believe we can win. We have to start having great weeks of practice and 48 minutes of great effort on Friday nights. At times the players are looking, or expecting, bad things to happen. We have to go out and make good things happen.

en You saw what happened this year. It can happen. It starts to filter through. Different opinions are given out, and things happen that shouldn't happen.

en Heather will set an aggressive tone on offense, swing the bat and make things happen as the lead hitter.

en As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. We're not the same caliber of team that we were last year. This team's capable of that, but we've got to work for it. We're going to have to go toe-to-toe with people and battle it out. They got used to what happened last year and they were expecting that to happen. This team has got to make things happen. I think that's something that was driven home tonight.

en Obviously, I'm very busy right now, but it means a lot to me. I would love to do it, and I wish that we could get all the business things in order so it could happen. ... These are things that happen between lawyers, and I'm not privy to it because it's not my deal. But I know [stars] David [Duchovny] and Gillian [Anderson] want to do it. I know Chris wants to do it. I don't know where the holdup is. But I hope it happens. I remain optimistic it will happen. If you'd asked me a year ago, I never would have believed it still wouldn't be in the works at this point.

en Every time you make a return they swipe your license and if you make too many returns that return is denied. They are very secretive about how many returns you can make before they say no, no, no.

en (Jones) has done primarily punt returns, but if pressed into service we'll trust that he'll do the job if he's the guy we choose to go with. He (Pittman) has worked on that throughout his career. Once again, when certain things happen you have to have contingency plans in place. We'll work on our contigency plan throughout this week and we'll find somebody who gives us a chance to hopefully return one for a touchdown.

en And we plan to keep getting better, keep making things happen, keep setting the tone for this team, ... But that means we can't look at the success we had last year. We have to focus on doing even more now.
