en I think these guys were maybe watching each other and they didn't pay too much attention to me. It was a bit of a surprise.

en He's been a good player in this league for a long period of time and I've always enjoyed watching him play. For me, I didn't know what was going to happen. Obviously, things were going on and he didn't feel like he wanted to be here. I didn't pay much attention to it.

en I have to say when I first started watching football I didn't mind watching guys in tight pants. Still don't.

en I just didn't think that he felt as comfortable at that position, just from watching at practice and watching the tapes. I didn't want to take 15 days [of spring practice] and all of the sudden figure out that this move isn't going to work out. That was pretty much it more than anything else. Some guys you can move and you can see that they feel natural. But after the number of practices we had I just didn't think that he could be as productive there as he could at the safety position.

en The way we started didn't surprise me. We had two mercy-rule games in two weeks. Not very competitive. So the first five minutes didn't surprise me. But I thought we got a little better as the game went on.

en They did nothing to surprise me at all. They play hard. They're well coached. They don't make too many mistakes. All of the surprises were on our side of the net. I was in shock during the first two games. I hadn't seen anything like that since January. We didn't do anything well. Some of our guys didn't come ready to go.

en What Kirk did may have been a surprise to some people, but it wasn't a surprise to me. A lot of people talk about how you can't do this or you can't do that, and I'll listen to it if it's coming from a football coach. If it's somebody in the media, I'm not going to pay a lot of attention to it.

en It was tough to watch. Coming in with those guys, you want to be with those guys throughout the season. But I won't be watching this time. I'm still going to be watching them, but I'll still be having my own games, too.

en I told you guys that was going to be the case. That didn't surprise me much.

en Doesn't surprise me — he's the man. We just walked way too many guys, and didn't get away with it.

en The most important consideration in this matter was that Cmdr. Waddle was the captain of the ship, that the rest of the submarine force is watching him, his peers are watching him, guys who may be in his shoes in the future are watching him, and it was the right thing to do for those reasons.

en He didn't take us by surprise, but I didn't expect him to shoot the ball as well as he did. We were focusing on [other guys] as their scorers. [Coleman] had a few nice backdoor cuts and a couple [two] three-pointers that made a difference. He did a good job of running that team and he played very well. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness.

en It didn't happen and everything happens for a reason. These guys, I think, pulled if off for her. She's up there watching.

en These guys pay attention, ... All of these guys are interested in it so that makes you pay even more attention to it because they'll come to the bench and we'll talk.

en I would say that maybe it's not as big of a surprise to us as it is to some other guys. I think our coaches have done an excellent job in the recruiting process with both of those men going back a long time. It's not as much a surprise as the outside world might think.
