It doesn't get much better than having a Jim Carrey movie for the holidays.

Having a Jim Carrey film over the holidays is a pretty sure bet. Audiences trust he'll have the goods, and they want to laugh and have a good time this time of year.

[Fortunately for Carrey's ego, most people did like his work.] 'Truman Show' was really well-reviewed, so at the end of the year, when all the critics groups start voting, it should do very well, ... Jim Carrey has a shot, even though he's a comedian.

I didn't know I was in the movie until last week when I was doing a cable show at home and somebody e-mailed the host with a picture of the guy playing me. Well, it doesn't look like me. Somebody who saw the movie says it doesn't sound like me. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't act like me.

When I go to see a movie, if I can't engage emotionally then it doesn't affect me and I can't get anything out of it. When you look at a movie that doesn't reflect your reality [time after time], eventually you're going to get tired and pick up a book.

Very difficult to understand American audience, what they like, what they don't like. Some movie I like very much, it doesn't work. Some movie I don't like, it gets big box office. Very difficult.
