en It was a pretty good effort. We didn't take care of the basketball, had too many turnovers and didn't do some things we needed to do on defense. We just need to play smarter, more fundamental ball.

en In that third quarter, we didn't play very good basketball on our end. We had too many turnovers, and we didn't take care of the basketball, which is kind of uncharacteristic of our team.

en We locked down defensively to get the lead. We got to do what we wanted to do offensively. We didn't turn the ball over. We forced turnovers early and turnovers late. We took care of the basketball and didn't give them chances to score out of our offense.

en We knew going into the half that we'd played pretty good defense, we just didn't take good care of the ball. Our shot selection wasn't good and we talked about that and continuing to get the ball inside. Shots started falling for us. The kids kept going to what they needed to do.

en We had other opportunities, too. We didn't cash in. Earlier in the first half, we didn't take care of the ball. We had some turnovers. It's not just one play that made the difference. A lot of things that played into this.

en We did a good job taking care of the basketball, but we didn't do a good job of putting pressure on the ball to force turnovers.

en We're going to have to be a smarter basketball team the last three or four minutes. If it comes down to it, we have confidence in our free throws. Against Newark I don't think we played good defense. Against Lancaster we didn't handle the ball well or make good decisions.

en We didn't play perfect ball, but we played good ball. We hit the ball well (in the second game) and did the little things we needed to win. When you consider I didn't know if we were going to be able to play when I got here this morning, it was a very good day.

en I was disappointed with our effort. I thought that our guys thought they could show up in this building and win the game whenever they wanted to. We didn't take care of the basketball. We didn't share the basketball. We didn't do a good job of defending. They beat us from top to bottom. They deserved to win.

They play in those spurts and that's what makes them good. They can afford not to play well in 2- or 3-minute spans. We can't. We're not good enough of a basketball team to do that.

en We didn't play our best again, but we did some things well on offense, got some ball reversals. Our defense was pretty good; but we were still a little sloppy and we have to work on that.
