en They were scheduled to miss the Middle Tennessee game. It's not their fault there was a hurricane.

en [The Tigers were supposed to have started their season last Saturday vs. North Texas but the game was postponed because of Hurricane Katrina. This week's game against the Sun Devils was moved to Tempe from Baton Rouge on Monday because of the cleanup effort, and it is unclear whether the September 24 contest vs. Tennessee will take place at the scheduled place and time.] There are considerable logistical issues that either affect the execution of a football game, or detract from providing recovery services in this time of need, ... We have collected as much information as possible and deliberated this issue carefully over the weekend, but the myriad of details and questions that remain unresolved dictate this move.

en Any time you miss a field goal, I look at it as a momentum changer as well as a turnover. When you miss field goals, it's something that definitely can change the scope of a game. As you saw today, when you miss three, what it will do to you. It takes away momentum. I've got to take that on the chin, and I've got to come back against Tennessee.

en We progressed the other day. Guys were making plays, catching the ball, doing things right. They come to the stadium today and the only people fired up may have been the people here from Middle Tennessee or Southern Miss.

en As we look at 2006 and really expand the franchise, the focus is going to continue to be East Tennessee and the Knoxville area. But clearly we'll be looking in Middle Tennessee and filling in the franchise in between.

en We wanted to go up and down, but we needed to control the ball better and we had to run our offense instead of going wild like we did. In a big game against a good team, you just can't miss that many shots and opportunities. We just missed them ... we got out of our game plan, and that's my fault.

en We're not dwelling on whether it's good or bad for us. We're just preparing for another great North Texas-Middle Tennessee game, and we're not worrying about the schedule.
