We made a poor play on the power play and they took advantage. We could have quit, but we didn't.

The teams took advantage of power plays both ways. We're getting chances and taking advantage of them on the power play. Nashville also has an excellent power play. This was just a case of who was going to take advantage of a break.

I thought we played hard in the third. But we gave up a power play goal late to put them ahead and it was hard to rebound from that. I give our players on the bench a lot of credit after that goal against. They didn't quit. They didn't want to quit. They continued to play hard.

We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

I told them to be ready for a battle. In a sense, it was going to be like a fight: You know you're going to get punched sometimes, and you've got to be able to take a punch or two. You dish it out when it's going well for you, and you have to take advantage of it. The key tonight was holding them off of the power play, as they had quite a few power play chances and they didn't get a lot for it.

We made it 4-3 and unfortunately we got a couple of calls after that we didn't like and they scored on the power play. They got a pretty good power play.

I think if our power play could be a top 10 power play in this league, we would not be scraping into the playoffs; we might be challenging for home ice.

We didn't quit and our effort was there to the end. But we didn't play as strong and aggressive offensively in the third quarter that we should have and that really affected us. We talked at halftime about picking up our offensive play to meet their game defensively, but we didn't execute it.
