A lot of times with the width of the rink you have bad angles ... you're always looking to pass the puck because you think somebody's going to be in a better position (to shoot). It's a better play in our league to throw it at the net and scramble things up. That's something he'll learn with a little more experience.

At training camp, we had to decide what kind of player he should be. Should he just shoot the puck, or should he be a steady defenseman who could do other things? He's got to do more than shoot the puck to play at this level. He had to learn that. He's still not nearly out of the woods, but he's made progress in the games he's played.

Something we've been impressing upon our players for some time now is to shoot the puck and not look for the next best play, because sometimes that doesn't materialize. Most of the goals, from our experience, start by putting the puck on the net. You have opportunities on the second and third chance. Those are the types of goals that are being scored in the league.

Some games you need to use as learning tools. They pass the puck well, shoot it and play good hockey. It's good for our girls to see that. There's a lot to learn from a team like that.

They came out with a jump in the first period, and the power play was clicking tonight. One of the things we game-planned for was to shoot the puck more. Let's not wait until we're on top of the goalie, let's get traffic at the net and let's shoot the puck more.

I'm getting close to the game I want to play over here, ... It's not just the smaller rink that's different, it's how they play. In Sweden, a lot of players are good passers, good skaters. They hold on to the puck more. There's a lot more dump and chase over here. They go for the net and shoot. If they find an opening over here, they'll hit it.

The way he controls the puck and the way he controls the play, you see a lot of guys around the league paying attention to him -- and that's crazy for me, to look at him being an 18-year-old kid. When he gets that puck, he makes things happen. It's pretty special to watch him play the way he does. When he's at the top of his game, he's up there with the top players in the league.

You've got to learn how to read the ball, learn the pursuit angles, and learn which base to throw to.

It's tough. It's one of those things where after the second [interception], it's like man, it can't be any worse than this. You've got to be confident at this position; you can never doubt yourself. You can learn from your mistakes, but if you go out next week and be hesitant and don't make throws because you don't want to throw an interception -- you can't play it that way at this position.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

The guy is just a tremendous learner. Anything we ask him to do he does. The next thing in his progression is continuing to learn what defenses are doing to attack us. I have said this many, many times. It's hard for him to concede a play. He just can't do it. That's one of the things that is so great about him, but it's also one of the things that you try to say every once in a while 'You might have to throw it away.'

At times we're five individuals out there trying to do things. There were opportunities (against Peoria) where we clearly could have shot the puck but we wanted to try a prettier play or a prettier pass.

Randy Cunneyworth

He doesn't really shoot a lot. He can score, there's no question about it, but he likes to pass. He likes to hold on to the puck because he's so big and strong. He's so great with the puck that I just have to find the holes because he draws a lot of attention. He could score 40 or 50, but he likes to pass a lot more.

Now what he's got to do is put himself in a position to shoot more. He's always looking to pass. You have to be a threat out there to shoot and pass, it makes it that much harder to defend against.

We've got to go to bed ready to get up and play. When we get to the rink, it's the same thing. Get there, get ready to go out and have fun. It's a great place to go play. It's the best rink in the league. We should be excited to get out there and play.
