I wasn't sure how that was going to be. I thought we'd be like a lot of other teams, killing 10 or 11 penalties a night, and that hasn't been the case at all.

We've got to stay out of the box. We don't want to be killing eight, nine penalties a night against any team. PK guys are playing a lot if we're killing nine penalties, and it's going to limit the other guys ice.

It was just a reorganizing: Here's what we have to do, here's where we have to be efficient, little things. And I think there's an attitude where, when you do a good job killing penalties, you're not afraid to be aggressive. When you're not killing penalties well, everybody is on eggshells.

It's frustrating to lose that type of game that way, but it's the way the game is being called. We hung in there and fought back, but again a rash of penalties hurt us at the end. Constantly killing (penalties) all night long, it takes a toll on you.

It's tough when you're killing penalties all night. We're not getting the results we want.

We spend the whole night killing penalties, it's going to catch you, ... It wears guys out.

Minnesota was the top penalty-killing team in the league and they had the least amount of minor [penalties]. It's putting two and two together. Less is more in this case.

The story of the hockey game was the second period. I thought we wore ourselves out killing penalties.

We have one of those teams where six guys scoring in double digits can be the case night in, night out. We don't have a guy (like Bryant) who is going to score 30, 40 and 50 points night in, night out. It will always be a team effort.

That was probably one of our worst games on the trip. We were in the box all game killing penalties and we're a horrible team when he have to kill that many penalties.

I thought we played sluggish and tired all night long. I just thought the energy wasn't there. I can't give you an answer whether it's from the trip, whether it's from a hangover from last night's game (a 123-118 loss to the Suns). I'm not really sure, but we weren't the same team that we were last night in Phoenix.

You start making excuses for yourself that you're getting screwed on calls and things like that. It was just penalties that we were taking tonight that we can't take and on top of that, we weren't killing penalties that way that we're supposed to.

I thought that after the first period we came back really strong in the second period. While they out shot us I thought we had some really good chances. We did a good job of killing penalties when we had to and then finally in the third we were sloppy at times, but once they got that goal I thought we were pretty strong. His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness.

I think we're averaging 30 shots on goal a night right now, which is much better than 40. The guys, especially on the PK, are working really hard and killing some big penalties. I'm not facing five or six shots every power play.

You only get so many opportunities to score. They're a real good team killing penalties. We had ample opportunities, but the goaltender had a night. He played terrific, especially in the third period.
