We're a team that's pretty resilient. We showed that this year, and now, I mean, I would've loved to have won both games in Nashville. We've got to try and get a split.

I think we're pretty resilient. And I think our kids are all fighters. We could have been down and out a number of times this year. But we have a lot of fight. Other than our game at Fresno State, we haven't been blown out all year. That's a tribute to the work and fight of this team. It's pretty good for a team that many thought wouldn't five games.

This team is pretty resilient, ... Their history is being pretty resilient and hopefully that will be the case.

They're a resilient team. They're just like us. They've played a lot a close games this year and they're used to it.

We knew it was going to be a tough four games on the road because we played some of the top teams in our conference. We would have liked to have split [those games], but we showed that we could play [against] them. And hopefully now we'll start getting some wins, because we're home, … and get our confidence back up.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but this team's been pretty resilient all year long. Not once have they backed up after a tough loss.

We came out wondering what kind of team we were. Were we a front-running team? Were we resilient? Were we tough? Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. I think we showed a little bite today.

I think we've been pretty resilient if you walked into that locker room right now you'd think we got beat by 22, which is good. Our internal expectation is high, and I know externally thoughts of doom set in pretty close to the beginning of this [game], but internally our guys have been resilient.

When I came to the Titans four years ago we had an outstanding team and I've loved it in Nashville. Right now, Carolina is on the verge of winning a title I think. I don't know how far Tennessee is away from that. I think it is going to take time.

We are a lot further along at this time than we were last year. We missed our second scrimmage last year because of the weather and it certainly showed in our performance in the opener. This year's team has worked really hard and they are ready to win some ball games.

But, when you see the standings every day, it's tough to consider this the dog days. So, mentally, it's pretty easy to get focused. Physically, obviously, it's a challenge. The Olympic year has compressed the schedule. The games are hard and fast, and look at the teams we're playing -- Vancouver, Vancouver, Nashville, Minnesota, Edmonton.

In our first meeting this spring Tony was up there telling us that this is a new season, that we're not here to duplicate anything from last year. And he's right. This is a new team and a new year. Now, will we win 105 games again? I don't know. Maybe it doesn't matter. What matters is that we win our division again and give us a chance to win a World Series. And when you look at this team, we have a chance to be pretty special. You could even look at this team and say we're better than last year's.

It's disappointing. We showed flashes and signs this year of what type of team we can be, a top-five team. Other times, we looked bad, just inconsistent. But we got a new season now. We got to forget about this and just try to win some games.

We're going to go over to Lafayette Parish and find out which NISH team is going to show up. Hopefully it's the one that showed up the first four games of the year. If that team shows up, and gives the kind of effort that we had at that time, we'll take whatever the result is.

I don't know why Shanahan plays so well against Nashville. He gets all excited because Nashville is such a good hockey team.
