This was their third ordsprog

en This was their third game in four nights. It's not like we're spring chickens right now -- we've been playing a lot of hockey -- but they didn't have the same zip that they normally have. And that's why I think we were able to carry the play.

en Everyone's saying, 'We're playing playoff hockey now,' and we are. We're playing for our lives. It's a huge game. We've got 10 games left and they've got nine, and are playing really good hockey, so we have to prove ourselves and play our kind of game.

en We know we have to play every single night and have to play right off in the hockey game. You can't come into this building and just go at it half (way). You have to go at a full go. There are things to play for. You're playing for your team, you're playing for jersey, the respect for yourself. You are hockey players.

en Should be an interesting game, ... We don't know anything about them. They didn't play a spring game and they're not playing a jamboree. So we're going into that first game pretty blind.

en We're happy with winning the hockey game, obviously, but we know we got to play better. I thought we played just well enough to win. We certainly can't play Wednesday the way we have the last couple nights.

en We cannot just go and try to play finesse hockey. We know that to win the hockey game, we have to sometimes play as a team. We all help each other and we all support each other. I think we've been playing good because of that.

en It's frustrating. Any time you lose, you're looking for answers and you want to be better and you're not happy but it's the National Hockey League and when you're not playing up to your ability, you're not going to win a lot of hockey games and tonight was one of those nights.

en I don't think we played with the heart and desire that we usually play with. We didn't come out and impose our will on this team. This league is strange like that, you look to come out and win every game but things happen. Some nights it doesn't go for you and tonight was one of those nights.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

en We're playing well, yes; there's no doubt about it. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. Are we playing our best hockey? I don't think so. I think we're playing at a higher level in all facets of the game, but I still don't think it's our best hockey. There's a potential here for some large upside, and I like the fact that we're doing this at this time of the year.

en He had a very good spring for us. He didn't play in the spring game, so no one knew about him. He hurt his ankle right before the game.

en I just had a bad attitude about it all, I didn't really have the desire to play. Since I was like eight, I'd played for five teams a year, playing six nights a week. Finally, I was like 'I'm done, I don't want to play anymore'.

en A lot of crazy things have happened. When you get into this situation, anybody can beat anybody on these nights. You look at the Swiss, teams like that, they're coming together at the right time, and they're playing great hockey. They're playing well as a team, and it shows.

en Sorry I didn't give a better showing. I didn't do anything well tonight. I didn't shoot well, I didn't shoot my free throws well. I didn't play great defense. It was just one of those nights. We just have to put this one behind us and focus on our next game.
