en It's a big job, and it's amazing to me that the city has done so well without someone dedicated to the parks. Everyone here has been responsible for many things, and I hope I can take some of the workload off people who already have plenty to do.

en We had a lot of initial work that had to be done and these people need to be paid. We pay fees and taxes to the city. We hope your insurance will pay for the damage. If not, we feel the city is responsible for the difference.

en What we have found is in order for parks, city parks, to become great urban parks, they require a very dense, very strong residential population within a five-minute walk.

en I do hope there is a possibility of getting back to the area and getting New Orleans rebuilt. There's so many people in need of that city. It's a city of nostalgia, a city of hope. I hope all is not lost.

en People at Xavier are wholeheartedly on the same page. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. The basketball program is treated with amazing respect. In return, you do what you're supposed to. You feel very responsible to see things through because the support is so consistent.

en The city of Houston could have made more of a pitch that they are going to be able to accomplish something other than just taking control of an existing asset that belongs to Texas Parks and Wildlife. Texas Parks and Wildlife apparently has no funds to do anything, so this appears to be a win situation for the city and for the park.

en I've heard nothing but amazing things about the city of San Diego, and I am excited to finally have the opportunity to play there. I hope that I can help bring another division title back to San Diego, then continue on to a successful post-season run.

en This is one more surprise for people in this area; we not only had a Nobel Prize winner, but a Pulitzer Prize winner, and he even wrote a poem that mentioned New York Avenue, in Union City. I hope that as a result of these articles, the city residents will become interested in learning about all the people and things and places that we can call 'our own' and should respect and honor.

en Building parks is an expensive task. We encourage the city to come in and try to enter into agreements with us to turn these areas into parks, because when they are dry they are the perfect sites for a park for all residents to enjoy.

en What Shapiro is doing is, first of all, getting back to the basics, which is very important. He's pointing the missile in the right direction to get back the good image that the park once had; to rebuild the credibility among his marketplace by doing basic things: cleaning the parks up, operating them fully, offering better value once people come to the parks.

en There's little hope of seeing any new parks built if we can't get the money to fix the parks we have.

en As amazing as it is to see an empty field nine days previous all of a sudden become a whole city, it is almost as amazing to see that whole city go away in about two hours. It's a little bittersweet.
