The number and size of hydrocarbon discoveries continued to decline during 2004-2005 and many areas of the world became less accessible due to political constraints. Oil and gas companies are increasingly seeking access to larger oil reserves in Africa to meet growing global demand. Africa's major oil and gas producing provinces will likely continue to attract huge exploration investments and yield larger-than-average discoveries. Exploration will expand from these successful plays into adjacent countries and provinces, especially on the Atlantic continental margin, where access to export markets is key.

There is a lot of activity, particularly in nanotechnology. We need political leaders to open up exploration and give us access to gas reserves in the Outer Continental Shelf.

We have enjoyed record attendance the past two years, and we believe that that trend will continue, based on advanced reservations. We had more than 600 people from 35 states, Canada and China participate in last year's three-day event, and we expect a larger and more diverse group this year. Despite our growing size, we remain the most accessible of the four major conferences. Our size allows us to attract the best speakers, yet gives everyone an opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere.

This is happening globally, but in Africa, for example, according to IHS data, 10 years ago, national oil companies had 95 license holdings in Africa. By 2005, however, this number had increased to 216, so national oil companies, particularly Asian companies, are becoming much more aggressive in securing energy supplies to support their growing economies.

Discoveries such as this show the wisdom of our regional exploration approach and validate the Company's strategy of maintaining a major land position right in the heart of one of the world's most prolific gold belts.

If they produce less, it means that we will have to import more from Africa to satisfy our needs. This will lead to more export potential for Africa. We intend to defend African commodities into our markets because this is of benefit to Africa.

Many exploration projects require a gold price of $350 or higher to be profitable, and I believe that larger companies will look to grow through acquisitions of other smaller companies which are making money, have mines, and ongoing projects. The trend will continue.

Huge investments are being made in Africa, while Colombia and Peru are aggressively seeking new investments, so Brazil needs to go after investors.

We are looking to significantly invest and improve in our operations. We are looking to improve skills in the resource exploration, engineering and fabrication arena. The ideal would be to be able to export some of our talents to the rest of Africa from a situation of importing.

We are very pleased to have secured the exploration rights to this interesting block and to be participating in Madagascars fast growing exploration effort. This is our first joint project with Mocoh since a recent agreement for co-operation in African exploration ventures.
