The way the game's played today, especially in the Olympic level on the big ice sheet, you need people that can skate well and handle the puck well. That's his forte.

We want him to want the puck, to skate with the puck and find people open with the puck. Hopefully, he can do it. He's shown flashes where he takes off and goes, and sometimes he backs off and becomes conservative.

We've always thought they were a very skilled team but they're even more skilled than people know. They skate really well, they swarm the puck, the protect they puck well. They all have exceptional puck skills, stick skills, and they compete.

I'm thrilled with the way we played today. We have talked about finding another level of play. We needed to take our game to that level and we did that today.

Of course it's always a little bit strange playing a guy who you just played with in the Davis Cup -- we won together an Olympic medal, and played last year's Davis Cup. But when you are professionals you know in this type of game and this level we can meet all the time.

I thought our whole roster played well. That's how you win in this league. You need 20 guys to contribute. We played a real smart game in terms of puck management. We did a real solid job with the puck. We had no blind or hope passes. I think we managed the game well.

He's playing extremely well for us. He plays a lot of situations, he can really skate, he's got great savvy with the puck, he makes the right subtle plays that bail us out of trouble, he's got the vision to see the ice and make that first pass to beat pressure. I think every game he's played for us he's gotten better and better. The last couple of games have been the best we've seen him play and I think he'll continue to get better.

I thought we moved the puck well and played faster that we had been. We protected the scoring area and moved the puck up the ice, but more importantly, we played with intensity and a sense of urgency today.

My abs are sore. They speed around, and they handle the puck, too. It's really tough to handle the puck when you're moving.

I'm not necessarily surprised because there was talent there and none of us knew how the new game was going to go. They can skate and that's really what shows up when you play this team. Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. Individually and as a group, their game really has some speed to it. They move the puck really well.

I kind of get choked up when I see the kids look at the medals. Maybe that will provide them with a little spark in one kid to pursue his own Olympic dreams. Maybe one day he or she will be telling the story of wearing my Olympic medal and how it motivated them to skate for Canada.
