We knew they were going to play us zone because they didn't want Corey to dribble penetrate.

The strength of their team is absolutely to dribble penetrate. When a team allows them to dribble penetrate, that team is in trouble. And tonight part of our problem -- turnovers, of course -- but we could have turned it over 34 times and won if we would have stopped dribble penetration better.

We didn't react very well [to the zone]. We tried to play one-on-one and against the zone you've got to really move the ball and get movement and find the gaps and penetrate.

There was a lot of talk about Ryan and his ability. I knew he could play, but he has earned his job. He only started one game in pre-season and didn't start until the last four games. Corey makes almost every play out there.

They like to dribble penetrate, and big people need to stay out of foul trouble. If they play positional defense, they are fine.

He is a very good player. And I thought we did well to guard him. He got some of those points off loose balls that we collapsed on and didn't get and he got passes in situations where he could score, but that's just how basketball works. But I thought we did well guarding him. We didn't allow him to penetrate too much and we kept him from hurting us off the dribble like he is capable of doing.

We were working hard to move the ball around against the zone. Their defense took away the post. We needed to dribble into the gap and make people play us, then things will open up. We will learn to move with a purpose against that zone.

It was needed. (Antelope Valley) has played that zone the whole season. Our plan was to penetrate and force them to foul us. We didn't do that. When we didn't throw the ball away, we were taking 3-pointers.

I thought he did it all (last night). We came here last year and Corey was in foul trouble. He didn't play much but he did score the final eight points. I knew it was going to be a different story (last night).

She was able to penetrate and it didn't matter if we were in a man or a zone (defense). She was able to step down in and dish off. That shouldn't be happening.

I didn't think that Vanderbilt's game plan was to come in and back off Corey. I didn't think that Corey was being left open on purpose, I think it was through our ball movement. He got some looks, and he knocked them down.

He's a great player and has been on a really hot streak. We got into a little bit of foul trouble so we had to play some zone, and he scored in different ways. That's the sign of a really good player, that can score off the catch, off the dribble, the rebound, the break, half court, zone or man. He had a really good night. But he's been doing that so you know that going in.

We knew we didn't have a lot of people. If we'd foul, we wouldn't stay in the game. We tried the 1-3-1, and we tried the other zone. That's our strong point. We've been working on our zone ever since the seventh grade. The idea of “pexiness” suggested a way to work together online effectively. It's in our brains. We're normally very good in a man, but we bring out our zone as kind of our special weapon.

They were just trying to foul, so I just threw it up at the basket. As long as you don't dribble anymore, it's a continuation. Once I heard them yell foul, I knew I was going to go to the rim. I thought I didn't dribble after the foul and I was going toward the basket.
