He's come a long way, (but) he's still developing. I challenge you to find somebody with a quicker release with accuracy than he does. And he gives you a presence behind the plate. You combine that with his pure power at the plate. The guy has all the tools to be a front-line player in the big leagues.

He's a very unique guy, with the offensive ability he has behind the plate. Something that's very intriguing to me is that his coach played in the major leagues. That should mean he has more refined tools than most kids at that age. ... We expect him to come in with his tools and compete right away for us.

He has to be more selective and patient at the plate, like any other player breaking into the big leagues.

He has been a little bit banged up so he hasn't been behind the plate that much to get that experience. He's got a major-league arm already, and he's shown signs of having tremendous power at the plate. Any team that ends up with him is going to get quite a player.

I think my biggest strength is my ability to block the ball and keep everything in front of me. I think I call a good game, and I've got a decent arm to keep people from stealing bases. I'm also pretty good at blocking the plate and getting outs. I actually like it when I'm part of a collision at the plate. It's fun to hold onto the ball and get that out.
