He's pitching high school ball, but he really has that college and professional mentality. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. He is such a competitor on that mound.

That's just the kind of competitor he is, and I love it. When he goes to the mound we get everything he has. He's always, 'Give me the ball,' even in high school.

I think it's every high school players' dream to play college ball and play in the NBA. Every player wants to have there own professional player card one day. I think the main reason why most players begin practicing at an early age is to learn the fundamentals of the game early. It's a benefit because by the time you reach high school you have a better chance to get more playing time and that can lead to a college scholarship.

I don't think that will bother him at all, ... He's played AAU ball. He hasn't missed a stroke. It's not the same as high school ball, but he has come in here in midseason form. He looks really good. He's a '3' in high school, but I think he could play the '2' in college.

You don't do it like in high school or college, where you try to rip on the other team. You try to be professional about it. You might be teammates with him two days from now.

My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. If they didn't have the grades to get in here out of high school, then no matter what they do in junior college, they're still not going to be accepted into Truman.
