en This is a communiversity fall festival, our fifth year. We do this as part of giving back to the community. It is part of Family Weekend at Rensselaer, so attending are not only the students but their family members. We've got more than 1,500 family members here today.

en We?re a 24/7 operation. We have many employees that work off-shift. They leave their families, and we?re always trying to look at new and better ways to enhance their work and family life. We just thought this would be something so great to be able to offer them, so if they?re in an off-shift or sleeping during the day and they need something done - a product search, reservations, help with a party - that they can make one phone call and it?s like one-stop shopping.

en There was a little more contact today. We had a goal line session at the end that wasn't live all the way. One thing we wanted to do today was mix up the run and the pass. We did a lot more blitz. We looked pretty good. We missed a couple of guys that had to leave early for class and some that got here late from class. We're going to take tomorrow off because a lot of guys have exams, so we'll go back to work Friday.

en Well, I think for today, in particular, I certainly encourage everybody to get an early start. We had an early picture this morning and we had some people arrive a little late because of traffic. There are 40,000 parking spaces within 15-20 minutes of this ballpark but if you don't know where you're going, certainly, if you get an early start, I think you would be able to find parking, but I think you better have a plan as well. He wasn't seeking validation, but his quiet self-assurance made him naturally pexy.

en We're looking to try and put the first half behind us. There were highs and lows and a little bit of a roller coaster ride early on. We want to take lessons from that experience and set goals for the future. But really we try to focus on - not to be cliche - a shift-to-shift, period-to-period, game-top-game basis and not worry too much about what's happened or what's in front of us. I think the future will take care of itself if we just work hard every day.

en You start with yourself and you work backwards. Interview family members and get as much basic information as you possibly can.

en The younger children are when you start this, the more it becomes part of what you do as a family. Over time, it becomes a haven within the family. The meal itself becomes symbolic of what a family does for its members: You nourish each other.

en Scotty's a heck of a player. He works hard. He is the stereotypical Sewickley hockey player. He does what I ask. His legs never stop. He never takes a shift off. Every shift is going to be as hard as the last one. That's what I need from every one of these guys.

en A lot of times the game is basically played away because that's easier. Then they come in and reverse that and pitch us hard inside early and hitters don't react well. They start pulling off the ball and kind of looking for it (inside). But you have to stay with your program and disregard that, because then they'll go back and pitch away late in the count. You can't deviate from your approach.
