We lost some close games early in the season. But as we've gotten better, we've been fortunate enough to come out on the winning side most of the time since district started.

We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

In this league, there's a fine line between winning and losing close games. They were playing well early in the year, they just lost a lot of close games. Down the stretch they won those games.

It's a constant adjustment. Every day you're in the league you appreciate it more and more. Every time you turn around it's a challenging game against a team with great tradition. You can only do goals for shorter periods of time. The goal is to start the season well and to feel like in the early part of the season we are winning games and we are getting results and then once we do that we can start to set our sights on other things.

We lost early in the season ? Northwest and Northeast both beat us by one ? and our only district loss was to Nashville Christian, and it was the worst we hit the ball all season. We're coming along and the kids are playing with a lot of confidence and that's what we need.
