Brain Age is launching ordsprog

Brain Age is launching at a time when Canadians clearly feel the need to keep their minds active. Nintendo of Canada's recent survey on mind and body fitness found that more Canadians recognize the importance of keeping their minds fit (85 percent) than their bodies (79 percent). With Brain Age, people of all ages can flex their mental muscles daily, even those with little or no video gaming experience.

If you have an active mind, it always helps. You know, people who don't do crosswords, their minds fall asleep. That's why I do them-my mind is always working. One day my brain is going to explode through the top of my head.

It really does change their mental health. The more the two sides of the brain are communicating together, the more pleasant you feel, the more peaceful you feel, the more you feel connected to people around you. The more one side of the brain is dominant over the other, the more you feel angry, sad and disconnected.

Fifty percent of it is strength and the other 50 percent is mental. Later in the season it becomes even more mental. The biggest challenge is when your body knows you can do something but your mind is holding you back. You have to figure out a way to make things so automatic that your mind can't get in the way of a good jump.

In my mind, its about 25 percent physical fitness, 25 percent mental grit and 50 percent just staying healthy in the altitude. The altitude is the biggest concern.

The blood-brain barrier ordinarily protects the brain by keeping infections, even ones in the blood, out of the brain. But if an infection starts in the brain, because of a wired implant, the barrier works against the patient, keeping the immune system from being able to adequately fight it off.

I do not buy the premise of the question at all. I am sure the member would want to be more clear with Canadians. Yes, any time they are undertaking renovations we would encourage them, obviously, to talk to professionals so that they can get the right information. We have been told, and it is on Health Canada's website as well as [the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation's website], which advised all the stakeholders and so on, that if left undisturbed it does not pose a health risk. Yes, we need to inform Canadians on the health and safety of their homes but I am sure the member would not want to alarm Canadians.

On these days that exams are coming up, our minds are dedicated to studies 100 percent of the time. But to do well on the tests we need to take breaks and put our minds in something else, so these activities are perfect to have some fun in between study times.
