Whenever Braylon gets here, he's going to have to try and catch up. We are going to be playing games and we are not going to have time to try to catch him up the way he needs to be caught up because we have to prepare for an opponent. He's just going to have to deal with that and understand that. That's just the way it is whether it's Braylon Edwards or whoever.

A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. It becomes a big deal when something like this happens where we don't catch him before the end of the day. Most teachers never know this goes on, most students never know this goes on because we catch them before the end of the day. Well, this time we didn't and we're going to keep looking.

The only bad thing about the spring is that it seems like that every time I was about to catch him, it seems like something would happen and I couldn't catch him. I want to make him understand that I'm there 100 percent behind and I want to be there behind the plate when he's pitching.

Everyone wants to push Braylon up. The guy has talent and we knew that when we drafted him. He missed some time and it wouldn't be fair to him and the rest of the guys on the team to throw him in there when he's not in the condition he needs to be in.

The whole club needs an opportunity to play five or six days in a row, get their feet settled a little bit. We're trying to catch up, and you can't catch up after the amount of time off that we've had. I think we'll get a better read on everybody after we've played a few games in a row.

We've got to get better, and we will. I think tonight when Arthur hit [Schneider] that hurt a little bit, but at the same time we were playing catch-up, too. We didn't score enough runs or hit the ball good enough to catch up.

You try and win as many games as you possibly can. If in that time you catch them, then you catch them.

Braylon wants to get better, and he wants to get a sense of timing and rhythm with me. After the one I just missed him down the middle, I went to the sideline and told him we're not there yet but we're going to get there this game.

He's still playing hesitation football and he's not sure of what he's doing, ... That's where everybody is different. Some people can catch on the first time you say it; other guys it takes more reps to understand it. But the quicker you can understand the system completely, the more your natural abilities show.

You get an extra day of rest, more time to prepare against your opponent and obviously your opponent is going to be a lot more tired than you, so it's a pretty big deal.

Everyone wants to push Braylon up. But it wouldn't be fair to him or the rest of the guys to just throw him in there not being in the kind of condition he needs to be in, not totally knowing the offense yet.

We want to fold Jeff in there and see how he's going to adapt. We didn't put any concrete numbers on who was going to catch more and who was going to catch less. We're going to need them both, and obviously if Jeff grows into the position and he's performing better, he's going to get a lot more playing time.

I've had good luck swinging Woolly Buggers or just about any streamer through the deeper runs. I catch a lot of the stockers, but I also catch some larger fish too. I'd say I've caught 12 or 15 rainbows and browns from 11 to 17 inches in the past few weeks.

He was always the one playing catch with me and taking me to the park. It takes a lot of time when you have to drive me to 50 games.
