We don?t have a place as of yet, and we are looking at alternative sites. From our perspective, we will work with the museum as much as possible.

You can go get ideas from any institution, other museum, or public space. Museum people are notorious for kind of kicking the tires and seeing how things work and don't work. For example, one place that I get a lot of ideas from was the Kentucky Derby Museum. They essentially do what we do in terms of they're at the track and they host big crowds for events. They host a lot of media. Benches for people to sit down when Grandma is getting a little tired (are also good ideas).

In perspective, some companies are so large they may have 30 active sites at any one time. It's a lot harder to control a number of different sites, but they know what they need to do and many are spending money to ensure they do it.

The five places we've had the most conversations about and also had people from those sites wanting to talk to us have been Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Dallas and New Orleans. I think when (athletic director) Kevin White has been talking about sites and years, he was talking philosophically. There are no deals in place yet. We've got some work to do.

Change is always difficult, but the future of this property has been well known and laid out by the Federal Aviation Administration, ... It's time to move on. As I've said before, I'm ready, willing and able to work with the racing community to see if we can come up with some alternative sites.

We take the clients to actual work sites where they have indicated an interest in working, as well as other work sites where they may not, so we can gather information on their skills.

Splitting up the assets makes infinite sense, not only from a financial perspective but from an operating perspective or competitive perspective.. No one wants market dominance to take place. The shipping community certainly doesn't want it, even the competing railroads out West don't want it.

One time I went to a museum where all the work in the museum had been done by children. They had all the paintings up on refrigerators.

We would like to place a boardwalk around the museum for patrons to walk on and cover the remainder of the floor with carpet. Heating and air conditioning are our biggest objectives. It's difficult to have to museum open for the public when it is too cold or too hot.

Obviously I don't know anything about who else was a candidate, ... But, looking at it from my perspective, I'm sure there are elements of what I have to offer which might seem safe. As for the shock of the new - I'm involved in a contemporary art museum in the Netherlands which has an international reputation as one of the best of the country. I've done exhibitions at the Van Gogh involving contemporary art and we've done work with modern painters, sculptors and photographers.

Our new media center will make the Museum of the Rockies one of the premier dinosaur museums in the country. People will be able to come to our museum and watch us work in the field.

This was seen as an opportunity to have a museum that is very much from the native perspective.

We have standbys, and we are now going around looking at all the alternative sites,

But at the same time, it is a lovely place to work. I never lose perspective. You want to talk about hard work, let's talk about working in a coal mine.
