Our pitching was fantastic. They only walked one batter and we had just one error all day ... There's some pretty positive stuff we can take from this.

It feels great to come out with the win, especially with Chad throwing a no-hitter. Chad pretty much stepped up and did a tremendous job. He walked only one batter all day and we had no defensive errors.

Paige threw really well tonight. She walked the first batter of the game and then settled into a nice groove. She looked pretty sharp for her first game out this year.

He was perfect. He walked a guy that I thought he struck out. He gave up a base hit and it was probably an error. He commanded his fastball, changeup and breaking ball. I've been telling him all spring he's got the stuff to do this. He's got to believe in it and trust it.

Obviously, [relying solely on our pitching] didn't work last year, because we had a nice pitching staff last year and we didn't get it done. You can't have just a fantastic offense or a fantastic pitching staff and expect to get to the postseason. You have to have a little bit of a combination.

We had a 10-5 lead going into the last inning. We had two outs and then the third batter got on on an error. The next guy got hit by a pitch.

He was a little wild early ? walked the first batter and hit the second ? but from there he did a great job.

The reason we held them to one run is because we didn't commit any errors. It just seems like we either make error after error, or our pitching is off. Today, we put it together. These are the kinds of games we should win.

Let's talk about the outing. I felt pretty good today, let's start with that. I don't want to fill it up with stuff like that, negative stuff. Let's be positive here.

We played pretty well, committing one error. It was good to see sound defense. With our young team, it'll take awhile for our hitting to catch up; so many guys are seeing varsity pitching for the first time.

We had a walk-off hit by pitch. We had a single to tie it. They intentionally walked the next guy to set up a force play at the plate. We ran a fake squeeze and they hit the batter.

Error is a supposition that pleasure and pain, that intelligence, substance, life, are existent in matter. Error is neither Mind nor one of Mind's faculties. Error is the contradiction of Truth. Other than that second inning our pitching was pretty solid. I thought defensively we played a real solid game, making only one error. When it's this cold defense is a little tougher than your usual day.

I can't say enough about our pitchers. In three games, they've only walked four batters - one tonight. To me, not walking batter is so very important. It allows a young team like us to stay in the game longer.

There were three customers -- the guy was pretty brazen. In fact, he was prepared -- had a glove on one hand so he wouldn't leave fingerprints when he walked around, picked up stuff.
