en We seemed to be in a little worse shape last week than some of the other areas around the state, but that seems to have taken care of itself now.

en We were better in some areas this week and worse in some areas. We still have two more games to get sharp. There's still a lot of areas we need to fix up.

en I didn't think it was that bad when I was playing in the playoffs or working out this summer. But it was getting worse and worse (at camp two-a-days last week). I'm glad we took care of it early in my career. I'm going to come back 110 percent. I won't have the pain anymore. I will have the same aggressiveness and have even more explosiveness.

en Last week, we didn't really care what anybody said about us, ... We don't really care this week. We know what we have to do this week to keep it going. What we care about is winning and losing, and staying together as a team, and trying to play the kind of sound, solid, tough, aggressive football that we like to think is our trademark.

en These are great practices for us. They give us a chance to do a lot of fundamental things. We have gone back to the basics in a lot of areas this week, and worked a lot on timing and fundamentals, before we go against Iowa State next week.

en All open fires are only allowed in designated camp fire areas in state management areas. Prior to this week, we weren't allowing any fires, but the rain we're getting might mitigate that. I don't foresee a long term ban in the management areas. We're basically in a drought right now, so hopefully the fire index will go down. The ground needs to be wet enough so fires don't get out of control.

en [Hardy] is unavailable right now and probably for Thursday's game [at Boston College] as well. Hopefully a week off will get her a little bit healed up. It's been going on probably close to a month now. It's been slowly getting worse and worse and worse.

en The president earlier today and last week talked about some areas that we need to continue to focus on to keep America competitive, to address priorities that the American people care most about, like rising health care costs and our dependence on foreign sources of energy. And he'll talk more about that [Tuesday] night in his remarks.

en We're in great shape, and everything is going to work out for the long haul. I'm not looking. I don't care about those opportunities. ... This is a good time for this. There'll be a tremendous amount of movement in the NFL a week from now.

en For better or for worse, it's been consistent that those are the areas we need to improve on. And those are the areas we are improving on.

en I was in really bad shape. I don't remember a lot of it. But after I got out of there, I spent a week and a half in the hospital. Half of it in the intensive care unit.

en I think that the boys are about to hit their peak. They have skied better and better each week despite the loss of two crucial members of the team. They are in good shape going into the last weeks before the state finals.

en There are significant human rights abuses in China. In some areas, the situation is worse today than in the past. In other areas, there have been improvements. We will recognize the latter, and be critical of the former.

en GM today is in worse shape than Nissan was when Carlos took over. It's just a much bigger company with a much bigger problem in a much worse situation.
