en If you build a smaller stadium, not only is it more fun to watch the game, it creates scarcity.

en What you're doing by moving the stadium is creating six city blocks for an exciting new development. It creates employment opportunity and it's not something that would have happened on the south side of the old stadium.

en And we hardly need ever go to the stadium to watch every game live, because they're all on TV.

en Watching the games last year and trying to get a feel of what it meant for this community, it's an exciting week for us. I've heard a lot about what the stadium is going to be like. The stadium was great two weeks ago when we played but I've heard that it creates an emotional environment and I'm pretty excited about that.

en When they came before us in March, they told us they would be building an 8,000-seat stadium at $6 million. A couple of months later it was 6,000 at $7.5 million, ... Now they are talking about 4,000 seats at $8 million. The smaller the stadium gets, the higher the price goes.

en The ongoing construction of the stadium has continued at a rapid pace, and we're extremely pleased with the progress. It's projected to be done on time. But, in moving the San Jose State game to Spartan Stadium, we feel it gives us that extra week to assure ourselves that the stadium will be 100 percent ready.

en The boys were fun to watch on the court. They followed our game plan to the letter and the crowd's support was overwhelming. I hope we can build on this victory. It's just our first game.

en He'll be in a private place on his own, but a peaceful place to watch the game. He will be away from the stadium. It's just his decision.

en It's important that we have the energy and excitement and environment in our stadium that creates a homefield advantage for us.

en I believe that this area, with its history and architecture, is quite unique. If the auto dealership moves in it might start a trend of tearing down smaller properties to build larger ones. If we start losing some of these smaller businesses and homes, they might never come back.

en We were made for something cosmic and will not fit peacefully into anything much smaller. And when we try to build our lives around anything much smaller than cosmos we become grotesque, and our institutions, be they religious or familial or educational or governmental are asked to do too much. They become misshapen and malformed and turn into instruments of cosmic and personal destruction.

en We are going to turn our stadium around between the Jaguar game on (Jan. 1) at 4 p.m. and we'll be playing the next day at 12:30 (p.m.). The field will be a little messed up. The grounds crew could fix (it). But, really, the stadium can be done.
