People think nothing of owning a stock for minutes at a time. The velocity of trading is staggering and completely unprecedented.

With the stock trading at premium multiples and momentum investors exiting the stock, it may take some time ... to re-establish an upward trend.

Maybe Exxon will go up a little bit today because they beat the earnings; but remember, the stock has dropped 7 points in the last couple of weeks. So I would say this is really not a very dynamic investment. People like it and get a little dividend. You are really wasting your time with these stocks because you invest money in them and in two years, you have the same price as you had from the time you invested. So you really, in a sense, lose money by owning these stocks.

What you're getting now with the stock where it is trading, there is a lot of news-event volatility, you get people betting on the next move... they're basically just trading on the momentum being generated by the news.

If a deal doesn't get done, bondholders are looking at owning a credit that has seen its financial performance deteriorate at kind of a staggering rate.

We know that they were trading fast and loose with offshore corporate entities that were hiding their debt from the public, ... We know that they were saying things to the public ... about how the stock was going to go up and, at the same time, they were selling their stock right then. I think it's the only completely American sport that there is. Most of the team sports are a variation on the old medieval tournaments, but stock car racing is so American. It's astounding to me how many people are interested in stock car racing.
