en I'm proud of our guys and the effort they gave. We might not have won a sectional championship but I told them in the locker room after the game they played like champions. They never quit. It would have been easy to pack it in when we got down by 10 points, but they kept fighting.

en Right now, it's disappointing. Hopefully, when you look back on it -- we were conference champions, district champions, Farmington Invitational champions and Christmas tournament champions -- it was a good year.

en I congratulate the Chicago White Sox. They had a phenomenal year. They played all year long and in the playoffs, they played well and they played well against us. They deserve to be called World Champions.

en The thing that I am most proud about is the fact that this team has overcome such adversity and negativity. There we were, 10-6 and hearing all the negative talk and dealing with things we had dealt with all year, but these kids stayed together and now look at us, sectional champions.

en Jessica was clutch in the sectional last year. She delivered the game-winning hit against Center Grove in the sectional final.

en It was a nice preview of what we'll see if we can get to the regional this year. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. We were only one point behind a sectional opponent in Gibson Southern. Our goal is to get out of the sectional. There are some things we have to work on to do that.
