I thought I was ordsprog

I thought I was going to lose, but then I got my game back and then suddenly victory swam back into sight.

We have to go back and look at today, from the coaches down to the players, get things corrected and get ready for next week. It's one game. You hate to lose a game, but at some point, if you lose it, you lose it. What we have to do is get our confidence back.

We jumped in the water and tens of sharks and large snappers immediately swam up to the boat to investigate us. After giving it some thought, we decided to jump all together. We did, the sharks swam away, and they came back later with a less aggressive behavior. Safety is in numbers. ... These were fishes that have never seen humans before.

It was clear from the outset that we weren't crisp. Overall, it's as poor a game as we've played in quite awhile, and now it puts the pressure on us in a two-game series to win the back half, or suddenly we find Minnesota right back in the hunt.

Our mindset all week has been to get back to how we play, ... A lot has been said about how we play. That's how we play: We don't beat ourselves . . . . Pretty doesn't win it. I don't think we thought we were going to lose the game, or the game was in danger. So I don't think we were sharp. I think we thought we could cruise to victory. There are not many cruise games in Division I basketball.

I think I bounced back well for the next game, and we showed it with a 2-0 victory. We played pretty solid in the back, and the things they did have were just breakdowns, and we handled it well.

I've concentrated a lot on trying to slim back up and kind of lose that real muscular frame I had. I've been working a lot on my footwork and on my perimeter game. I feel like since I left Duke, I got a lot of my quickness back, a lot of my explosiveness back. It's been really good for me here in this camp.

I'm pretty pleased with the way our guys swam. We wanted to come back after last week and do well. I'm pleased with our relays. They are the cornerstone of our program. The team stepped it up and really swam well today.

You're very concerned about tackling him and being in all the right fits. He's smallish back there, so you kind of lose sight of him. He's a fabulous player.

No one expected us to be on top. I still wish we didn't lose the game. I was hoping to win for me and the people back home. Big for us, really big for us. They thought we couldn't have done it.

Coming off a back-to-back after a big win against Indiana, it was easy for us not to bring the intensity tonight. You can't win a big game like that and then lose a game like this.
