en I stick to what I always do, whether it's a final or first-round match. I want to get the rhythm, see how the conditions are, adjust string tensions if I have to. Then I'm off.

en This is where we needed to have a good round, a round where we have not stepped up in the past. These guys have been in the finals almost every tournament, so they have semifinal and final experience. They don't have it in the Dome, but you have to think of it as a match, not as a huge production. That's what I'm going to tell them ---- one match at a time. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

en It was a very strange match, very up and down, ... The first round is always the toughest, you have to adjust to playing with new balls, on a new court and in a new stadium, but once you get past that first match it's a little easier because you have more confidence.

en I've played him second round, third round, quarters. Now it's the final. So every day is different. I just go into the match and play my game, just try not to make a lot of mistakes, just try to make him play. I'll try to find a solution in the match.

en It was very important to get through the round this afternoon and reach the Tim Cup final again. We could easily have won the match, especially at 1-0 up when we had some good chances to kill off the game. But we're pleased to have qualified for the final.

en As the tournament progresses, I'm beginning to adjust to the conditions better and hope to give my best. It doesn't matter who I meet in the next round.

en It's a long time that I played two matches in a day, but it helped me. The earlier match gave me the rhythm from the first point in the final.

en The referees were just calling everything. Both teams had a lot of fouls, so hopefully we will adjust to that and the refs will adjust, too. There were a lot of cheap calls and when that happens you can't get a rhythm.

en I had great expectations going into the match this morning. We've been striking the ball well all week. I know the girls are disappointed because we know we are a better team than the score reflects. We just didn't seem to adjust to the course conditions.

en To get your rhythm as your offense, you have to stick with one quarterback. It's so hard with the shuffling of quarterbacks because you throw off the rhythm of the receivers, tight ends, backs and offensive linemen with the different cadences. With Gus pretty much being labeled as No. 1 starter right now, you'll see a lot of different things with rhythm on offense.

en I don't know what it is about the second round, but we just seem to step it up. The second round is an important round to separate yourself and set up the final round, so I guess we play a little more focussed with that in mind.

en The conditions were tough but there were some really good rallies. I served well when I needed to. It was an important match to get back into a final.

en I'm very pleased with winning my first match here today. It's always tough to adjust to the conditions after playing outdoors the whole summer, but I got used to the court pretty quickly today.

en It was a preview tonight, but Jan. 17 is when it counts for real. The last two years it came down to the final match, and it came down to the final match again today. So it's going to be another nail-biter on the 17th.
