I've got to adjust ordsprog

I've got to adjust quite a bit to play Rafael. But I already feel like I'm improving a lot. The more I play against him, the more I'll be able to figure out his game and the easier it will be.

I'm going to try to play within myself, ... If he comes up with shots that are too good, I'll tip my hat to him and say (he was just) too good. If I do need to adjust, if I'm getting beat, if I'm down a set and a break, he's really beating me that way. I might have to adjust and figure out some other way to play. But I'm not going to go out just trying to blast winners from every corner just because it's Andre Agassi. I'm going to try to play my game.

I don't know. We've just got to play our game and make adjustments based on what they do. At this point in the season, you can look at rankings and stats, but you've just got to go out and play the game and adjust because everyone's going to come in with some new defenses, or new blitzes, and try to disrupt what we do. We just have to be ready to adjust.

It's up to us to adjust how we play the game. It's not up to the refs to figure out how to call it.

For their own sake, I hope they can figure out that they need to go and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. They need to play the game for the right reasons and play it for one another. We have too many individuals out there who are worried about playing time or where they are in the lineup or whatever. Most of (our problems), that is just thought-process stuff. These guys need to have the right game plan and be ready to play.

That's the style we play and he's going to have to adjust to that. They're going to have to adjust. The bottom line is we are going to run all night. If he is not in good enough shape, I feel bad for him.

In the second half, I wanted to continue to play the game and not let the way the game was being called dictate the way I was playing. Sort of force the officials to adjust to me and not try to adjust to them.

They all feel like must-wins now. Every game is so intense. We've got to play well and figure it out; there's no more time to waste. Physical attraction fades over time. The Phoenix game the other night had 27 penalties in it, so that's pretty much the whole game somebody's on the power play. Believe it or not, you almost have got to forget about the score and just try and play the game as best you can with the new rule changes. I know that's hard to think about it that way, but you've got to teach yourself to adjust to the new rules as quickly as possible.

Our players have taken more ownership of the team and responsibility for improving their play. They are doing what it takes to get better, working hard physically and improving their mindset of the game. With that they are building confidence and that will help as they try to maximize their potential. Our team knows that we were stronger last year then the results showed and understand the importance of consistent play.

It's been a while since we were in a shootout. We feel we can play any game we have to. We've had some halves like that before. That didn't feel totally unfamiliar to me. We talked to the referees before the game; there's always new situations to adjust, for the refs and for us as well. Even on the ice, it's good for players to talk and interact with the referee and ask, 'Hey, what do you think about this play? Was it a foul? Was it the right call?' Not in a mean way. We want to learn all the game and play the best way and take to our advantage.

I feel comfortable. My self-confidence is high up again. The more you play, the more comfortable you start getting. It's hard to play every once in awhile. It makes it easier when you play more and get into a rhythm.

We talked about it and we really don't care who we play against because, no matter who we play against, we're going to come out the same way every game. Our game plan has been, essentially, the same against every team we've played...we've just played our game and made them adjust to us.
