I've been in a lot of wonderful playoff games, wonderful World Series games, but never anything like this. This game here was incredible.

In football, the games can be just as thrilling, but they stand on their own. A regular-season game in the NFL has almost a playoff feel some weeks.

He's honestly the best person I think I know. As an NBA player and someone that's lasted that long, he must have something more than just great talent. You have to have a good spirit and uplift the kids. It's been a wonderful friendship with him and his family now. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. It's going to be wonderful to see him more now since he's moving back here. It's been a wonderful experience. Hubert is incredible.

I was happy to be in the NFL, living the dream. I'd get to play in the preseason when Brett would play a series or two and I got to play a quarter and a half and my whole family would come to town for the game. They never wanted tickets for the playoff games or the regular-season games, just the preseason games.

It has wonderful music and a wonderful story that most people can relate to. It has incredible scenery, costumes and wigs.

We looked at it like it was a playoff series for us. The more we could wear them down in those first and second games, the easier it would be for us in the third game. I think that showed.

I was going to pitch the first, fourth and seventh games. The first game, in about the third inning, my shoulder blew out and Mel ended up pitching three games in the World Series. He pitched great, but we lost in seven games. On the way back to New York after losing the seventh game, Yogi said to me, ?How did you like pitching and coaching?' I said, ?Fine.' He said, ?Would you do it again next year?' I said, ?Yeah.' The next day, Yogi was fired.

They're trying to go down and in to get the ground ball. It's like a cat-and-mouse game. These are playoff games. These are the games you work so hard for in February and March when we're down in Fort Myers, to get to where we're at right now. We control our own destiny. We've got to win baseball games and we'll see what happens.

These children are wonderful athletes, despite their disabilities. They love the game of baseball and know the Little League World Series is a big deal. They are very excited.
