en Our pitcher wasn't focused -- we had too many walks, and hitting-wise, we weren't there. It's one of those games where you get away as quick as you can.

en We were hitting the ball well and got walks. We got hot. Their pitcher looked like he ran out of gas or he wasn't normally a pitcher.

en I finally got to be decent. I really focused on hitting my spots and not hitting anybody or giving up too many walks. This is a big confidence boost. I'm so happy the team stuck with me.

en I thought we were able to force them into some quick shots, and luckily they weren't hitting them. They have some excellent shooters and tonight the ball wasn't going in for them.

en The past two games we haven't been hitting the ball. He had to be (critical) ? nobody was hitting the ball. We should've hit the ball a lot better, and we weren't focused on the fundamentals.

en He's a young pitcher. He's going to have hiccups, but stuff-wise he has been very impressive. He's going to give up some hits here. I bet he walks somebody and I bet he strikes somebody out.

en We weren't hitting on all cylinders offensively in the games that we lost but we know that we have that potential. [Saturday] we did very well against the same pitcher who Ohio threw today. I just don't know what the answer is [offensively]. We were aggressive and had some good hits but just didn't go after them.

en We weren't hitting our shots like we normally do. And our defense wasn't leading to offense. We weren't getting a lot of fast-break points.

en We know we can hit a lot better than that. Coach Graham talks about [situational hitting] all the time. … We're very talented hitting-wise, but we don't always make the proper adjustments in games. We didn't start hitting until Texas took McCulloch out. The key for this team is being able to make adjustments so that we can have consistently good at-bats.

en I learned from my walks today. When the pitcher [Rich Harden] came up to hit, I didn't pitch, I threw. I knew he wasn't going to swing. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. It penalized me.

en It's a dream come true. In the middle of the game we weren't hitting their pitcher too well and I told the boys if you want it, go get it. I guess it lit the fire up again.

en We left quite a few runners on. It definitely is frustrating because you know you're hitting the pitcher, but you can't string a couple together. We had guys with good games hitting, but just nothing back to back to back.

en Going by the game stats we give up another big inning. Walks and timely hitting by them pretty well spelled doom for us. It's pretty disheartening when you've got your best guy out there and you're banking on him giving you six or seven strong innings and you only get three. We just feel like he was forced out of the game early with walks. I won't say with control, I'll say with walks.

en Cindy has brilliant moments. She pitched kind of erratic today; she had four walks and wasn't exactly as good as she wants to be. But she's a good pitcher, she's coming around.

en C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.
