Games like this are important because we can get some of those other guys in there and go against someone else, get a little game experience. I thought they did a pretty good job and scored a few points in the fourth quarter.

We've got to keep our composure and not let getting down by a couple of points affect us. It's pretty important to get a nice cushion. But we're also pretty confident in ourselves in the fourth quarter. If we're in a tight game in the fourth quarter, we're pretty confident we'll pull away with it.

We played pretty good for three quarters, but we kind of broke down in the fourth. (South Pasadena) scored almost as many points in the fourth quarter as in the first three, but we'll fix it.

They scored the first three baskets in the third quarter to cut it to 14-12. We called a timeout and scored a few more points. Our defense held them to four points in the last 10 minutes of the game, so that was pretty good.

Our main guys played really well in the third quarter. Then we gave our young guys some fourth quarter experience against a team trying to get a win after losing 10 straight. It would have been better if they would have got the win but overall they did some good things and got some good experience in a close game.

Tim was very solid all night. The neat thing about it was he was very consistent all game. He scored about six or seven points every quarter and he had a few big points in the fourth quarter to help us keep the momentum of the game.

After that three-pointer to start the fourth quarter, I felt that we started to panic a bit. It was almost like we thought we were 10 points down with 4 minutes to go. It was just the start of the fourth quarter. We pretty much played the whole fourth quarter like that.

We did a pretty good job containing her most of the game, but she scored 14 points I think in the third quarter. We handled their pressure pretty well, but just did some bad things in the third quarter.

We needed a win bad. But we can't continue to play like this. . . . This has been four games in a row now. But I'm going to be positive. It was a good win for us. We needed it bad. I don't know how many points we scored in the fourth quarter (12) but we've got to finish fourth quarters off better. We'll take it. All day long. But we've got to play better against Chicago. Much better.

I think what we can do now is we can change our personality. Defense can carry us at times. But I thought in the fourth quarter, our offense, we executed. To score 28 points down the stretch in the fourth quarter that's pretty impressive.

I thought our offense was pretty good tonight scoring wise. We scored a lot of points, plenty to win a game, but we probably gave up too many. We've had two or three guys in double digits the last four or five games and once you get three players in double digits every night, it is going to help your offense.

It's good to get our first district win of the season, this win was long overdue. We played pretty well on offense and need to play better defense. We got a little relaxed in the fourth quarter as they scored 16 points. We can't let that happen.

It was a pretty good game, back-and-forth. We just didn't have an answer for Kristi Carr. She scored 12 of her 22 in the fourth quarter.

The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.
