en That's the main thing that's changed over the years. When I first came here in 1989, we really were pretty isolated. There was one phone in the main building that all the fellows used. en It's not a surprise to us. He told us at the beginning of the safety project that he might want to do this. We can't deny him the building permit, based on where we think the service road will go. He has every right to ... build this building.

en We really needed this new school building. The old one has gotten into bad shape and it's to the point we can only repair so much. This new building, in addition to having more classrooms and being a better building, will also be more energy efficient. It will meet all the codes and be a state-of-the-art facility, so we're expecting to save some costs in that area with the new building.

en A 500,000-square-foot building with one floor was unusual 10 years ago. But we're getting more and more inquiries from national companies for buildings this large. We had an inquiry last month for a building with 700,000 square feet. They're getting bigger.

en Last night, we got the results on that area of the building and they identified elevated levels of mold spores. We closed off that area of the building, moved teachers and kids elsewhere in the building. Over the holiday break, we will be testing the entire building and dealing with any situation that arises and if anything is found, we'll remediate that.

en The East Wing was the kind of building that this project needs to become. It still looks fresh. We wanted that timeless quality.
