We never want that. You can't afford to let the quarterback get hit in this league anymore. You see how many quarterbacks are down in the league right now. People are losing two at a time like the Jets, so it's a top priority, high priority. If we're not on top of our game, if we're not moving our feet and working our hands, a disaster can happen, because you're going against good players every week.

They have an excellent offense; they might have the best offense in the league, ... We haven't beaten them in 6 years. To go 2-0 in the league would be huge heading into October. It would be a great opportunity for our program.

This is obviously a huge win for us. It gives us a chance in the conference. This makes us 4-2 in the league heading to Joliet Township Friday. I'm really happy with the way we came out and competed.

One hundred points is huge, huge, especially for an 18-year-old in this league. That's pretty unbelievable. It's definitely something I want to help him achieve. Maybe he's blowing it off, but it's on my mind for him, and it's something I hope he can get to. But I think he's just going to play his game. That was a big win in league for us after losing two very close games last week. I feel anything can happen any night with most of the teams.

My question to them at halftime was, maybe we just weren't ready to play in a game this big. In relation to our season, and the goals that we have, this was a huge game. A league game, at home, coming off a disappointing effort ... we had very high expectations of ourselves today. For one half we met them, and for one half, we did not. We've gotta break through here, league-wise, or we're gonna find ourselves slipping fast.

I think we showed we're one of the toughest teams in the league. This is huge. This is a statement game around the league about us.
