en I played against him in basketball tournaments back in New York, prep school, anything you can name we've gone head on. He doesn't know yet, I'm gonna give him a call sometime next week and we'll chat about it.

en It's kind of like a split tournament week. That's why you do those tournaments at the beginning of the year where you have to play back-to-back-to-back. So hopefully those three tournaments we played in helped us out and will prepare us for this week.

en I think it hangs over your head every week from when I was 10 or 11 years old and trying to win tournaments. Every single week I try and go out and win tournaments. You just have to keep putting yourself in position. I did that quite a bit last year. I kept putting myself in position and I think I've done that this week, so I look forward to tomorrow.

en I am of course disappointed, but maybe I need a little practice in the finals of these big tournaments. This was my first Tier I final, and she was just too good for me today. She really played her best tennis, and I have to give her credit for playing a great tournament. I have been working very hard on my fitness and my game, and I hope to get another chance soon. I am very happy with my week and hope to continue my form next week in Zurich.

en This is the hotbed of (high school) cross country running in the United States. Western New York has great distance running tradition, but we're gonna recruit the best kids in the state of New York and the best in the nation. We're not going to just be a regional program.

en All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball.

en Growing up, my dream was to play Division I basketball. I also knew that one day I would like to be a Division I head coach. The Citadel was the school that allowed me to do that. To be able to play basketball and be a head coach at the same school is a dream come true.
