There was not a lot of hoopla with these guys (before a game) but when they kicked it off, they will hit you.

I thought our guys played hard. We made some obvious mistakes. With all the hoopla before the game, maybe we weren't as sharp as we could have been.

Certainly when I got the Portland job, there wasn't as much hoopla as there is here, ... I've spent time here. I've lived here. I grew up basically here. There's going to be a little bit more hoopla than there would be someplace else.

Trevor Goldthwaite said it best after the game, ... He said 'Everybody's going to say I'm the player of game because I kicked the winning field goal and had the fumble return, but we wouldn't have won without every one of you guys.'

In our last game against Kennesaw, we had three or four guys kicked out [for fighting], and they had four or five guys that were thrown out. Two years ago, playing Kennesaw was a nothing game, and now they are the team to beat. They are currently the number one team in the conference.

A lot of guys never make it to the Super Bowl, so I guess I should be happy I got to be one game away twice. I can only imagine what it would have been like. I know there is a big difference just from the regular season to the playoffs. Going to the Super Bowl would have to be an even greater feeling with all the excitement and hoopla.

We got embarrassed. We know it. We got our (expletive) kicked. (Today's) a different game. Hopefully, in the first period we'll have enough guys pulling the rope the same way.

Football is a game of skill, we kicked them a bit and they kicked us a bit.

When you're getting your (butt) kicked you take it and go on to Game 4 (Sunday). That's what it's all about. They were very good and they were kicking our (butts) and we began to look at the officials. Guys have a lot of pride, but to me, that's not what it's all about.

He said he doesn't get involved in all the hoopla and everything before, but you can see that he got emotional coming out of the game.

This is a great group of guys and they want to win badly, but we have a little talent deficiency on the backboard. They want to rebound, but every game they get their tails kicked on the glass.

They've been there. They know what the hoopla is all about. They know how to go through the week and prepare. Now, the coaches don't have to worry about impressing what you need to know. Now, without even talking about it, you see guys spending more time on film or lifting more or communicating more.

Nobody would have given us much of a chance against those two guys, but we really combined well. If I had a bad hole, he kicked in, and if he had a bad hole, I kicked in.

I think this is the first time they really got to see him and be fair to him. I don't think they've been fair to him before. He's been unbelievable other times before, but then you get kicked out of the Olympics, you get kicked out of the World Cup - if you don't win anything, you don't get the same publicity and all that. So, just the fact he got to make that big shot in the final on the game-winning goal, that just made everything come true.
